Seriously I think with every passing window or every season of moaning from Klopp there are less and less liverpool fans in the UK.

Don’t think the message got through to Devon, the place is infested with Liverpool fans 365.

Full respect to Todd Boehly and Chelsea tbh. Made us a reasonable offer and have shown far more respect to us than the bin dippers

I want to deal with Boehly every time we sell a player.

"How much?"
"£50 million"
"Here's £55 million"

Can anyone interpret this?

Utter bull that there would be no contacts with Chelsea. Joe Shields is there.

Well that scuppers that idea!  😄 Wonder why Chelsea seem to be going above the 50 then. Seems to be too good to not have a catch.

Perhaps because this '£50m' figure was just one put put by the media and not in fact the actual figure SFC wanted. In reality, we perhaps wanted £60m or £55m and Chelsea are the ones that have got close enough.

BBC Sport saying Caicedo to Liverpool for £111m is nearly complete. However Sky have just reported that Chelsea have offered £115m and could be completed by tomorrow.  What the actual fuck? It's not often I shout for Chelsea haha.

Thats on the assumption that they aren’t using Lavia to just get Caicedo done as per an earlier tweet

I think after watching today we MUST get a centre back who is comfortable with the ball at their feet and we need to sort that midfield out. Armstrong Smallbone isn’t defensively good enough.

Yep, CDM, CB and GK at an absolute MINIMUM.

We aren't going to be signing a no1  keeper.

However much people keep going on about it.

After Downes I reckon RB for when KWP goes, CB or two, winger and striker.

Downes , Grimes , Holgate and Piroe will do for me ! If KWP then another right back .

We'd need to lose both ABK and Lyanco to consider a new CB imo. That's probably way down our list.

Need to lose one of Armstrong and Adams before we bring in a ST too. CM is the only area I can see immediate incomings, as we've lost two.

It’s absolutely negligent if we aren’t. It shows whoever makes the decisions at the club don’t understand football and how to build a successful team

Dortmund is a great move for ABK, and if we get our £20m asking price then even better. Need to get another ABK style CB in if that happens, someone tall and quick - way too easy to attack atm.

CB and GK will not be coming in until weve shifted Macca and a CB.

Nevermind, just seen the ABK news. We've got a 25Million release clause. Won't be less than 25.

No way does smallbone get dropped

Yeah i agree but i think longterm they are planning for this incase Smallbone's form tails off - he's been a bit of a underdog this season so far, so good on him.

Depends how bad his injury is tbf.

The problem with Smallbone is he isn't a natural CDM. Is that Downes position? If it is then I'd say Downes, Smallbone and Alcaraz. If not then Charles, Downes and Alcaraz.

I'd describe Downes as more of a natural CDM, yeah - given where he's played for Swansea, and WHU in his cameos.

I'd see it as a two of Downes, Smallbone with Charly floating around in the 10.

I've seen a lot of Downes. Probably more than any other Championship player in the last 3 years and he doesn't strike me as a pure defensive midfielder. IMO he's more of a Morgan type. Box to box.

So according to you Jason Wilcox who was at Man City for 10 years, Russell Martin and Mowbray don’t understand football. I don’t normally get involved in name calling but you are an Ill informed idiot.

Christ, do you rate Bazunu or not? Make your mind up.

What are the expectations of what we will spend on incoming for the rest of the window?

The squad is still very big and RM said he wants to keep the likes of Doyle, Meghoma, Ballard involved so clearly we don't need squad fillers.

I reckon probably about £25m to £30m with a decent chunk of that on a striker to replace Adams who I am sure one of the mid/lower PL teams will see as a handy signing for a very affordable fee due to having less than a year left.

Overall that would mean a spend of £40m or so with at least one loan, pretty sizeable for this level.

I think he should dedicate 95% of his posts to the topic, just so we know.

I’d rather have Neville Southall in goal - at least he would take up a proper position and marshall the defence

Remember RM saying on sky after the Sheff Wed match that our signings wouldn’t be squad players — Likely starters.  (Obviously all sorts of things can happen, but a little insight into their thinking).

Che out for £12m, new striker Piroe in for similar.

ABK out for £20m, not sure who we buy, but I'd of thought considerably less will be spent, maybe £5m-£10m.

Is Downes on loan or bought? I'd of thought he'd cost at least the £14m they bought him for.

So that's Charles £11m, Downes £14m and Piroe £12m. Maybe Holgate for £6m?
