I find it amusing that people are wound up by it and have bitten. Bless em.

How do you get into this circle? I assume you have to know Turks, so basically its a group of his mates who then speculate wildly like they do down the pub. All due respect to Turks but can anyone tell me any info he has brought to the table that wasnt out there already?? I hope to be proved wrong.

I'm probably sore as he hasn't asked me to join

Some interesting stuff in the C-O-T messages this afternoon. And I'm not even a Platinum Tier member.

Cheers for the info 👍

We're looking at potentially Amo-Omeyaw (16), Bogarde (19), Charles (19), Edozie (20), Alcaraz (20), Livramento? (20), Mara (21), Sulemana? (21) and Bazunu (21) as players getting regular minutes for us next season. I'm just a little concerned we haven't learnt any lessons from last year.

Is it reasonable to expect these players to be consistent week in week out which is what will be necessary for a promotion push?

Armel Bella-Kotchap (21), Juan Larios (19) too.

Obafemi for a couple of million and Redmond on a free aren't going to set the prem on fire mate

They've also signed a young keeper from City, who's not yet played above league 1... what could possibly go wrong there...

That Tella video is cringey shit and I really hope we tell Burnley to fuck right off

Something really off about that video and I don’t just mean the cringe, but the use of the free nelson mandela music, and the idea that Tella needs to be freed is really odd.

The emergence of a third estate on Saintsweb is suggestive of a violent and imminent revolution.

The Bourgeoisie will be the first to be executed.

Those of noble birth, hide.

p.s. we need a striker

It's probably just a Yank's idea of being 'funny' - which in itself should be offensive.

Don’t go on Twitter they are whinging like fuck. It’s quite sad. They seem to have forgotten they are playing in the EPL soon.

Distinct lack of excitement.

Bro is this your first experience with northerners ?

They could win the lottery and complain about having too much money now.

I mean, I guess at this point, it would be mods and/or admin. Although give it 3/4 years and we can expect the circle of trust to start executing each other as there is no blueprint following the decentralisation of power on Saintsweb.

Further resonance with the French revolution is the fact that the inner circle are they only ones who want the revolution. The rest of us just want a striker.

Anyone got a screen shot of the tweet of the lad that met RM at HaBar and was full of praise of him? Highlighted that he expects JWP to be gone?

If you think about it, even if the deal is done, that is still cringeworthy and disrespectful. Expect that kind of thing from fans but not from owners of the clubs involved

If he’s really going though it ends up more embarrassing for us and they will be lapping it up

It’s happened on several occasions my favourites are

Saints in negotiations to sign Gazika Mendieta -2003 when he was a bit of a star and at Lazio

£125 season tickets to celebrate our 125th anniversary

Gulys 15 minute contract clause

Media careers have been built on the basis of bollocks posted on here. Mediocre media careers I grant you, but there you go.

Saints can easily take this cringe and out cringe it with ‘our’ Secret Southampton’ video mini-series and the ‘Stop the count’ merch.

Who shall we pick this time?

Chances are Talksport and Alex Crooks will pick it up! 🤣

It's got to be a striker from a lower PL side. Mateta from Palace or similar.

Making any sort of connection between Tella and Nelson Mandela is bizarre in itself. Making assertions about having to "free" a person of colour is also bizarre.

Lots of connotations not thought through.

Isn't Burnley one of the most racists places in the UK though? Wouldn't surprise me at all that they think that video is in someway clever or complimentary about tella 😅

Makes a absolute mockery of what Mandela had to go through. Disgusting video really.

One could think that they just want to buy players and sell them for a profit.  If they can do that effectively from The Championship then so be it.

Personally, I’m not sure that’s true.  Happy to wait and see what this window brings.

Perhaps Miss Pace (who is from Utah, not Burnley) simply wasn't up to date with the "black people are different" agenda.

What relevance is it that Tella is black?  If you prick him, does he not bleed?  Can we not dream that one day he will live in a nation where he will be judged not by the colour of his skin but by the content of his character?  If every time you make a comment about someone who happens to have darker skin than you do, you have to think about how other people will view the alleged connotations, then you get towards the idea that it's safer not to comment at all; just to ignore them for ear of offending someone who is wanting to be offended.

In Burnley, Nathan Tella is a footballer.  His skin colour is irrelevant.  I am sorry if, in Southampton, he is a black man first and foremost and a footballer only in footnotes.  Let him be himself. We need to get away from this idea that black people are different.  They are not different, they are human beings.

Well… yes and no I suppose… the strategy is they present less risk, for instance Edozie/Larios/Baz’ values probably don’t depreciate as much as those we spent on Onuachu, Aribo etc

Im not sure how much I hang my hat on ‘sign experience’ although it is significantly easier in the Champ.. because historically our ‘ready to go’ signings have been absolutely terrible

But after all that is said, I do think we need to bring in one or two heads with leadership abilities to help galvanise us

You're right, we forgot racism doesn't exist in the good old USA.  And maybe have a look at your own forums where people have come to the same conclusion as the above before trying to take the high and mighty approach.  Feel free to stay there whilst you're at it.

If true then Burnley are absolutely pathetic. I'd be tempted to turn them down even if they paid the money.

I would have been before all this free Tella bollocks, we shouldn’t be entertaining offers for a player than can be so crucial to our promotion push.
