S-Clarke Posted 1 March, 2023 Share Posted 1 March, 2023 It's a tough list, can we have more than 3? My top 3 - Lyanco, Aribo, Adam Armstrong. But easily Elyounoussi, Moussa, Perraud, Diallo - just a load of utter shit stinking this place out.

Nemi Posted 1 March, 2023 Share Posted 1 March, 2023 (edited) As I said earlier at least Aribo offered a bit of link-up play between the lines - something literally none of our other attackers do. That’s the level we’ve stooped to, but at least he gets himself into decent positions, while everyone else just stands in a line playing it sideways nonstop Edited 1 March, 2023 by Nemi

qwertyell Posted 1 March, 2023 Share Posted 1 March, 2023 (edited) Orsic would have to be up there. I know he's only been here two months, but he was supposed to be the great white hope, the bargain signing that we nicked from under the noses of all the big clubs. And he's absolute mince. Slow, timid, feeble. Doesn't fancy it at all. Edited 1 March, 2023 by qwertyell

Baird of the land Posted 1 March, 2023 Share Posted 1 March, 2023 1) Aribo ( i Don't get him he's slow and seemingly has a horrid touch, maybe he's just devoid of confidence but he seems like an ali dia signing) 2) Bednarek ( I still despise him, joke of a player) 3) Orsic ( people said he was quick when he signed, i've seen zero sign of that. Just seems a passenger)

a1ex2001 Posted 2 March, 2023 Share Posted 2 March, 2023 Can’t believe Bazunu doesn’t feature in more of these lists, the guy is absolutely stealing a living as a goal keeper let alone a first choice one at a top flight club! Lyanco is a shoe is as he is just utterly garbage and I don’t think has put in more than one decent game in his entire time here. The third spot is tricky as so so many could fill it but I’m going AA just because we bought him as a striker and he scores even less than che! Maybe he will find his level with us next season and boss the championship but I’m not convinced!

leeham_69 Posted 2 March, 2023 Share Posted 2 March, 2023 Great thread! For me I think: Bednarek Armstrong Ellyounoussi Some of the others at least have the nerve to trick you into thinking they might offer something, either because they're young or haven't been here very long. When you see these guys names on the sheet you just know they aren't going to offer anything, and with the exception of Bednarek probably won't even produce major calamity. They will just be tediously and inevitably ineffective. Can we have a "who is our worst player" poll so at least someone in the squad can win something??
Charlie Wayman Posted 2 March, 2023 Share Posted 2 March, 2023 How does a thread like this help anybody? Of course people are depressed about our current situation and style of play and of course the morale and confidence of our players' is at rock bottom. It only needs one of our players to read this tripe for it to be all around the dressing room. If there is a collective sense that they are all held in very low esteem by 'fans', why would you imagine then that they would give a toss when they run onto the pitch and whether or not the club get relegated. They can opt out at any time and find employment elsewhere and as always fans are the only ones left standing to count the cost. As we've observed many time before everything about a football club is temporary except the fans. It is in our interests not to be the architects of our own downfall. "In good times and bad"… you know the marriage contract. All this whinging and carping is doing is playing to the baying mob and helping destroy our club.

Normally I would agree, but it's about time they took their share of the blame. Their underperformance, piss poor decision making and lack of any fight has gone on for two seasons. If somehow it did get round the dressing room tough shit. About time they took a good hard look at themselves. With the exception of JWP

Chez Posted 2 March, 2023 Share Posted 2 March, 2023 Lots of players fail to work out. Many get far too many chances. I think what is more depressing is players you thought would be better. That's why I am going for Onuachu. I was already depressed by all the other guys and then he came along and took my last prozac and flushed it down the toilet. Not because he is the shittest of the lot, but more because he wasn't better. We were totally in the shit, going down and generally one of the poorest attacking sides in the league, but the one thing we had going for us is that we actually had funds to bring a striker in that could ignite our season. Brilliant, we still had a little hope...but of all the strikers out there we could possibly sign, we got him. I've not been as unexcited by a transfer since Anthony Pulis. The last time we were relegation bound we signed Henri kamara and he was absolutely fucking electric. The goal away at Brum soon after he joined gave every fan that travelled there (me included) a massive slice of hope. This time around, we get a guy that is the complete polar opposite, limited, slow as fuck, blowing out his arse after 25 minutes and providing the goal threat of Kenny Cunningham. I don't totally dislike him by the way, I just hoped for so much more. Maybe next season he rattles in 30, but at this moment in time he (his signing) depresses me the most. SupersonicSaint Posted 2 March, 2023 Share Posted 2 March, 2023 Elyounoussi from the point of view of the club long term as he's been here for almost 5 years (!!!) despite being shown to be out of his depth within his first season - and yet scarcely any attempt to sign a replacement until recently.
