coalman Posted 5 February, 2023 Posted 5 February, 2023 Might as well start preparing for next weekend's relegation 6 pointer. Lots of questions before this match: - Will Jones still be in charge? - Another week in the reserves for Caleta-Car and Orsic? - Diallo to start again? - Saints to set up to invite pressure? - The ongoing mental disintegration of Nathan Jones to continue in his pre match presentation. At this juncture it's hard to speculate beyond a Wolves win as we never beat them no matter how well we play they seem to nick a goal. Despite that I'm still hoping against hope.
Dusic Posted 5 February, 2023 Posted 5 February, 2023 Although it feels its been the same every game for a while, surely if we are to have any kind of chance to stay up we simply have to get 3 points here. Considering we have just spent £60m and will have some home debuts ordinarily the fans would be up for it, but obviously Jones totally changes that. Big decisions for the club this week but if he is still in charge then somehow fans need to almost forget about him and get behind the team like the Everton fans did yesterday.
AlexLaw76 Posted 5 February, 2023 Posted 5 February, 2023 (edited) We will play 3. 5. FUCKING 2 Lyanco, Bree, Moi and Diallo will play. We will get it in the mixer to the big lad up top and we will love it Edited 5 February, 2023 by AlexLaw76 2 2
Crab Lungs Posted 5 February, 2023 Posted 5 February, 2023 (4-3-3): Caballero, KWP, Perraud, Salisu, DCC, Lavia, JWP, Alcaraz, Orsic, Onuachu, Adams. Please. No Moi, Lyanco, Diallo. 3

AlexLaw76 Posted 5 February, 2023 Posted 5 February, 2023 Would be funny if we see saints on the front foot and sweep Wolves aside I know, just as mental as mad-nate 1
Pamplemousse Posted 5 February, 2023 Posted 5 February, 2023 If I hadn't already bought train tickets I'd consider not going until we sack the idiot because we all know what the outcome will be. If Jones is in charge, a heavy defeat With Selles, a draw.

Dirkdiggler Posted 5 February, 2023 Posted 5 February, 2023 Can we not send Bednarek back to Villa with a sorry note?

Micky Posted 5 February, 2023 Posted 5 February, 2023 (edited) What's the point? Really, what is the point? We are down, gone, done, relegated without so much as a whimper. This group of lightweights, under this fraud of a manager will simply roll over at the first sign of trouble. It would be easier to send them the points in the post to save the fans the time, money and heartache. Can you imagine the likes of Gabriel, Magrath, Baĺly, Case or Killer, (and many others who've fought for us) wtf would they be thinking watching this weekly shit show? Unless something drastic happens, Wolves will win, easily. Edited 5 February, 2023 by Micky 1

S-Clarke Posted 5 February, 2023 Posted 5 February, 2023 It's getting to the stage now where the actual games are a side-show as to what is actually going on, they almost don't mean anything anymore. We went down with more fight in 05. I reckon we'll be gone by late March. 1
coalman Posted 5 February, 2023 Author Posted 5 February, 2023 Here's a chilling thought - what if we scrape a win? Would that change people's minds about keeping him in the job?

hypochondriac Posted 5 February, 2023 Posted 5 February, 2023 If he's still here I'm going to be fascinated to see who he plays and how he sets up. That should give us a good indication of where he feels he's been held back. 1
Miltonaggro Posted 5 February, 2023 Posted 5 February, 2023 Wouldn’t it be lovely to have Lage and Selles on the touchline for this. With mad Nat still here we lose this - prediction 0-3. New man in place and we could actually get the fabled bounce - prediction 1-0. God willing… 1

As much as I hate knee-jerk and fickle nonsense, I cannot see how his position can be tenable for any longer after his performance yesterday, both in game and after game. 3

He showed in a couple cup games that possible, due to what I can only say is luck. The rest that he has shown that follows is dire football with no winning game plan and logical sense.

The Spanish Eric Black our set pieces were shit when he was in charge of them, couldn’t beat sheffield wednesday, players who he is supposedly coaching looking less fit and unable to trap a football since he arrived (and before tbf, but The Athletic reported In pre season Selles took a hands on approach to training whilst ralph took more of a backseat role) .. but the players like him and he speaks spanish so he survives. Chez Posted 5 February, 2023 Posted 5 February, 2023 What odds, after signing two wingers, Jones now rolls out his infamous diamond? 7
wooley7 Posted 5 February, 2023 Posted 5 February, 2023 His hubris has really put I’m in a corner. We should expect to see some clear changes on the pitch and improved performance. If we lose again how does he explain it then? A real part of me is thinking ‘Ok, right, no more messing around go full Jones, let’s see what you got’. The rest of me says he has shown enough and needs to be replaced before this game. We could all do with some entertainment and a heavy defeat at Wolves should produce a very interesting post match interview.

Wasn't it Bednarek he completely left on his arse last season in this fixture to break that dry spell he had infront of goal at the time? Bodes well!! 1
Saint_Jonny Posted 5 February, 2023 Posted 5 February, 2023 For the first time ever I'm sacking this one off. Just going to go to the pub instead. If we win and I miss it so be it, these cunts have defeated me.
