I'm really trying to give Jones a chance but he's making it very difficult.

Recalling Bednarek and making him our starting CB, whilst relegating DCC to the B team is a sackable offence on it's own.

Orsic not in the squad at all. What's the fucking point in buying these new players if he's not gonna bloody play them? A World Cup semi finalist slumming it in the B team whilst Eluseless starts and Theo is on the bench. What a waste.

If we go down without a fight today I might join the Jones out bandwagon.

Have I missed something on Orsic? He played yesterday for the B team and isn’t in the squad today.

I am guessing you have to make that post. He's been rubbish in the two starts, so being dropped to the reserves seems reasonable.

Are either ABK or DCC injured? Not even on the bench. WTF.

It was obvious when they played for the B Team yesterday that they weren't going to be in the squad today.

Something about minutes, not being up to speed, having no rhythm etc.

Orsic holding his bronze medal thinking "that happened didn't it, did it?" and then looking over at Moi and Edozie running into people and passing to the other team. "Maybe I imagined it...".

Yay a back four and no Lyanco!

Wuicjly followed by: Wtf, where is JWP, how does DCC not get in? How does Bednarek get in? Diallo? Edozie starting (I’d argue he’s better as an impact sub).

Lumping money on over three goals and a Brentford win. 😅

JWP is playing?

I know he’s bad but don’t make up stuff.

We coulc have got Dyche to sort out the defence and get some confidence into the team but no. Razzy wanted to try and look smart.

Newsflash, a smart person does smart things not do stupid things and hope they pay off so that everyone will call them smart.

if you believe it, the previously reported “race to dyche” was at snails pace between us and everton. they’ll stay up as they have a better team and manager

Work permits. He had one. Our boys haven't.

That short article is based on Jones saying yesterday:

“You’re better off ringing the Home Office to find out. We can keep asking but until we get clarification on their work permits, neither will be involved.”

That doesn't rule out the permits being granted between yesterday's press conference and the game today.

Very true. The Home Office are renowned for their commitment to work, especially working out of hours on a Friday night / over the weekend.  They're all over that dedication!

I agree it's unlikely, but the press conference was just after lunchtime so there were still several working hours left for someone to get their rubber stamp out of their arse. So not totally implausible.

Apology accepted @Weston Super Saint ;)

Yet Janny B can waltz straight in....

We have Walcott on the bench and Moi starting, I’d at least have him as an option.

Get that he hasn't pulled uo trees, but not to have him even on the bench is pretty disrespectful

To be fair Orsic has looked very off the pace.. I think end product wise he will be the best winger/ten we have .. but looks a bit unfit and struggling to get into games so far

And Walcott on the bench, who is obviously full of mins and games.

Everything he says/does is contradicted.

Just got to the ground and seen the line up. Really. No need to rush these new signings in because the existing team is doing so well?

How do these new players take it I wonder. Must be a confidence killer.

Has been, and "close" to being back in contention according to Jones at yesterday's press conference

Bournemouth's new signings can start by the looks of it

Only new signing playing is his mate from luton

Any one else needs time to settle, not his pal though, straight in - he'll have him first choice over KWP now

No chance of us keeping a clean sheet today

I love this sort of pettiness to get all the quotes hahaha

It's taken me years of practice to master the art of pettiness so your compliment is appreciated. It's the guys that spot the pettiness and feel the need to highlight it that you've got to worry about... ;)

We are Southampton.

We don't get new manager bounce we get bounced.

We don't play new players, we let them cool off.

We don't buy success, we don't know what success means.

Calm down people. Honestly.  We've got people brand new to the PL, their first week here. No harm at all in starting them on the bench. I'd expect to see both on early in the second half.  If they seem up to speed, they'll start next time.  Let's judge the game by the full 90 mins.

For me, just having Lavia back and starting is reason for hope.

Oh bloody hell it’s Janny B too 🤷‍♂️

What exactly is Jones beef because his arrogance with the whole management position here is beyond belief and murdering this club.

Picking him after those two substandard displays would be poor management. You have to respect the other players in the squad.

Jeez, that's a shocker of a line up. We'll get mullered at set pieces, and have nothing going forward.

And anyone calling Bednarek Janny B should be banned.
