Forest fan saying Tall Paul gave them more problems than any other centre forward this season. Said they are always confident to let crosses into their box but today they couldn't deal with TP because of his size.

It's almost as if this game they call soccerball isn't rocket science after all.... ;)

His after game interview was very humble and showed he cares. Im hoping now that him and Sullemana can forge a partnership. Get scoring and the world is our oyster or just beat the Derby points total

He's another odd player, similar vein to Lesley.

In the same game, sometimes within the same 30min period, he can look decent with a tight touch, yet the next second looks like a pub footballer and lumbering mess. If Paul doesn't score then there's nothing else to his game. He's obviously very big and strong, but I think decent defenders will always have his number. For a guy of his size he doesn't win much in the air as his timing is all wrong.

You can see why he'd do well in much lesser leagues, he can bully CB's at those levels and he has a bit more time. At a higher level though he's nothing.

You cant have been watching Southampton for that many years if you honestly think that. There have been far worse than him.

My sentence has been over 40 years so far,  and I did say 'possibly'😉

Thought he did ok yesterday, certainly wasn’t one of the worse on show. Got roughed up a bit by their centre halves, but he’s going to get that in England. I’d  like to see us get it into his feet or chest in or around the box, because he only seems to get it fed into him on the halfway line. For this to happen he needs to show more in those areas, because his movement in the final third is poor.

Apart from a couple of midgets he’s all we’ve got to play up top, so will probably get a decent run now. Will be interesting to see how he gets on at Ipswich, because we should have more control of the ball.

Agree with what the others are saying. Not very good but no where near the worst. If we put more crosses into him he'd get 15-20 goals in the championship (as his goalscoring record against lesser defences suggests)

Exactly. It's why I'd keep Bree as well, a right back solid defensively in the championship and with a good cross on him. Very much in the Danny Butterfield mould.

Probably the worst ever performance with his debut but put in a couple of (relatively) solid performances after that.

Yeah he was out the team a long time but I think he came back in later and actually made himself quite vital to an upturn in form.

Our inability to get decent crosses into the box doesn’t really help his cause. He’s a handful and created the space for bednarek yesterday by keeping defenders occupied. But our crossing is beyond a joke.

Not sure why you think that .. there’s times he keeps managing to keep the  ball even though it looks like he’s gonna lose it he did this again yesterday .. got pretty much no service yesterday so I’m not really sure what your rating him badly for ..

he worked hard too

Our crossing is improving. Brees ball in for Bednarek was brilliant, it's the main reason i'd stick with him next season in the Championship.

Made up for the fella today. It’s one thing notching one in a defeat, but to get the winner quite another. Fair play to the bloke, at times he must of been on a right downer, and wonder what the fuck he’s doing here. He is pretty pony, but he’s battled away and appears to be a decent pro with a good attitude.

Amy half decent full back should be able to whip a cross in.

In fairness. The requirement was 'pull on a Saints shirt.'

He most certainly did that.

Bernard was absolutely appalling. I don’t think I ever saw him not out of position. Just used to stand around in random places looking confused while a game of football went on around him.

9 starts, 4 goals this season, according to the commentator vs. Palace.

Hope we keep him for next season. He could score bucket-loads in the Championship.

We absolutely should keep him next season. He's an absolute weapon and will only dominate more at championship level (against weaker players, less pace, and with less pressure on our passers and runners). For the small amount of money we'll get for him, he is an obvious player to keep.

He's clearly a bit limited but yeah, if we were to actually cross the ball into him he'd get 20 goals next season. The difference in quality of defending between the leagues is ridiculous.

He's proving now that not only should we keep him next season, but he'd be a solid option if we get back up as well. A full season at this level and he'd be scoring 15+ goals at his current ratio.

Slightly misleading phrasing of that stat, it’s either 2 goals in 9 starts or 4 goals in 23 apps. He could do alright in the champ next season but he is not a PL standard player.

Should definitely try and keep him next season. From what I've read it's always been his ambition to play in the top major European leagues, and being the wrong side of 30 I could only see him being tempted by a lower half PL team in the summer. He caused Palace's CBs all sorts of problems last night and could see him causing mayhem in the Championship, he's always been a handful to defend against

Let's not also forget that it wasn't that long ago that he could not have been further frozen out from the first team, and he got back into it through sheer hard work under a manager whose style of play couldn't have been more of a polar opposite to how he plays. That is professionalism.

Careful now, that's the sort of extrapolation that led to signing Brereton-Diaz.

Well he is,he is a PL striker who has scored goals. As for stats they are misleading, that team and until last night we havent utilised his assets. Perhaps now IJ is going to use his strengths and the naysayers will perhaps go away. Archer or TP? I would have him all day long

I think Onuachu maybe the best worst player we’ve had at our club.

ive still no idea if he’s actually any good 🤣

Most of the time he looks like Bambi on ice with very limited technical ability, he’s all arms and legs.

it always feels like such a massive fluke when he turns with the ball and beats a few players, or wins a duel with the ball bouncing off his chest, knees, legs and then landing favourably at his feet.

Yet despite all of that, he’s a massive problem for the opposition and seems to offer us something we’ve been lacking.

He puts himself about, he always seems to be involved positively when going forward and he’s a right time right place kind of player. He’d arguably get over double figures in the premier league if he started every game.

id like to see us play off him allot more, to often we’re playing long to him but no ones close enough to capitalise on the second ball.

I don’t know if I’d keep him or not, if we can claw back £7-£10m for him I’d probably let him go, purely because he’s 31 this year and it maybe the best chance we have to get some kind of return, even so, if we end up keeping him, he’d probably be a 20 goal a season striker in the championship, as crazy as that sounds
