St Mary's PA

Is it just me, or is the PA at SMS just far too loud?  Although the sound quality is actually very good.  Makes it really difficult to talk to the person next to you.  Feels more like a night club than a stadium.

Your thoughts.

In my experience it depends where you are sat. Was loud in Block 34 where we yesterday but in our normal Family Stand seats you can barely hear it sometimes.

sounds like they’ve just inhaled helium as well, and are very cringeworthy, yesterday it was a players birthday and they announced that with the player. “number __ and it’s his birthday today” 😂. I also find it difficult to talk to people with PA and funeral march owts

Remember when SMS first opened the  system was so bad nobody could ever hear it regardless where you were seated? It’s gone full circle.

Yeah this - remember there were plenty of moans about it being too quiet and distorted when higher in volume. Basically useless. They upgraded it and suddenly it was retribution to the point where it was turned so loud blood could be seen coming from fans ears.

OK, not quite that bad, but sometimes it’s been silly loud.

Totally agree. I want to talk to those around me. Many of them are ST holders like me, so we've got to know each other over the years. What I don't want is to be deafened by inane rubbish over the P A. --- much happier creating my own 😉

It's a football match, not a bloody night club.

I mention the PA sound levels every time I am sent an email from the club asking about the 'Matchday Experience'

We we sit the sound levels are so loud conversation before KO and at HT is far too high

Shows how much notice is taken with feedback.

Also would be nice to hear a better range of music (but at a reasonable level)
