It’s had the entire World Cup break for it to recover from any wear and tear, it’s not especially awkward in terms of sunlight access or anything like that, and it was always in the past highly praised for what an excellent service it is usually presents. No issues or glitches. 1
OttawaSaint Posted 14 January, 2023 Posted 14 January, 2023 Wider players trying to beat their man. Not working so far but if we could get in behind we could get some great chances.
Ed Rooney Posted 14 January, 2023 Posted 14 January, 2023 Ely really doesn’t offer much going forward

OttawaSaint Posted 14 January, 2023 Posted 14 January, 2023 What's the point of Elyounoussi. Started our last 10 EPL games now. 1

Mr X Posted 14 January, 2023 Posted 14 January, 2023 No cutting edge from us whatsoever today, tired from Wednesday?
The Kraken Posted 14 January, 2023 Posted 14 January, 2023 Edozie and Elmo need to get into this game, offering nothing so far. Adams is going to get no change out of the service being given to him, playing into their hands.
BotleySaint Posted 14 January, 2023 Posted 14 January, 2023 Can't understand dropping Mara and Djenepo. 3
AlexLaw76 Posted 14 January, 2023 Posted 14 January, 2023 They are getting on the ball more at the mo. decent chance for Everton....over from a tight angle

Saint NL Posted 14 January, 2023 Posted 14 January, 2023 Everton are on top here.... Need the midfield to get ahold of the ball
saintscottofthenortham Posted 14 January, 2023 Posted 14 January, 2023 Elyou and Che looking good so far……………… 1
Suhari Posted 14 January, 2023 Posted 14 January, 2023 Everton directors told not to come to the game due to safety reasons. Did the commentator just say that? 1
Chez Posted 14 January, 2023 Posted 14 January, 2023 As DT mentioned, the front three are not pressing hard enough. They close down, so do press, but they just don't break a neck. Need to see some actual sprints. 1
Jimbo Posted 14 January, 2023 Posted 14 January, 2023 not surprising that we don't turn up when it matters 1
OttawaSaint Posted 14 January, 2023 Posted 14 January, 2023 (edited) Moi's brain: Oh a chance to shoot, hmm, left or right foot, should I dink it, curler...decisions decisions...oh! Edited 14 January, 2023 by OttawaSaint

Baird of the land Posted 14 January, 2023 Posted 14 January, 2023 Personally i think if we are going to use Moi it should be centrally instead of Diallo rather than out wide. Would prefer to see someone with pace out there instead.

Mr X Posted 14 January, 2023 Posted 14 January, 2023 Worryingly We don't look that up for it today energy wise

That's the biggest difference I've noticed from Wednesday, the shape/system is the same, but there's not enough spark in the press and it all feels a bit half arsed. Probably because the players we need to press in Ely and Adams are pretty crap at it. 1

Disco Stu Posted 14 January, 2023 Posted 14 January, 2023 (edited) Game's going as expected with our front 3. Looking better from a defensive perspective but lacking an outlet at the moment. Edited 14 January, 2023 by Disco Stu

sydney_saint Posted 14 January, 2023 Posted 14 January, 2023 I've said it on other match threads. And fucking hell I wish it wasn't happening again. But what has Moi ever done to become a starter at this club?! He's first name on the teamsheet for league matches! He was considered not good enough, was shoved out on loan. And then with no improvement, hes become a starter!
