Sad thing is, our PR dept will probably send out a questionnaire and will seriously be asking the very same question whilst expecting us to think a few glow in the dark armbands will solve everything.

Match day experience and positive don't sit easily in the same sentence nowadays.

A complete waste of time and money.

It was done before Most people were in their seats, so it didn’t really work.

Only half the stadium had the wristbands. It was a bit like the whole club at the moment, disfunctional.

The band were cut off by the time they got to the half way line with the awful tannoy music.

Wasn't as bad as expected. But equally I'm not sure I've ever felt so dissociated from the club (and/or top-flight football) as I did during it.

It's the sort of fluff you pull out the bag when 10 points clear at the head of the league. Not when you're struggling to string 3 passes together.

Yet another indicator of how out of touch the decision-makers at the club are.

A load of bollocks, all it achieved was to make the shit show that followed even more tragic.

If I was in the club's marketing department I would stop this pointless waste of money now because next season when the club is fighting off administration their non-jobs will be top of the redundancies list.

I wouldn't be surprised if that cost the club nothing - looking at how it went left me feeling that it was a test run for a company who put these things on and the wrist bands were a new toy that needed a big canvas to test it on. Because the flashing under roof lights and the huge jets of flame diluted the effectiveness of the wristbands. Almost "right lads we have no idea if we have got this right on this scale - so lets fire up a bigger distraction just in case we have got something wrong or the whole lot fails".

And why do we now have a resident DJ?

She wasn't DJing. We arrived halfway through it all and we're sat behind where she was. Looked like it was all pre-programmed in and she just made out she was pressing buttons.

The music was also so predictable. Should have lobbed some random Aphex Twin in there to mix it up a bit, haha.

Apparently to play music so loud that in the kingsland at least it was impossible to talk to the people round you. And then the pointless light show and music drowned out any pre-match crowd atmosphere. Even the clapping along with the saints band was cut off almost before it started.

I go to a football match to watch football personally, not artificial pre match entertainment.

Did our fans burst into a rendition of

“never before seen light show you’ll never sing that”

aimed in the direction of the away fans?

you know they will be. they're probably in in the office now congratulating themselves on how great it was.

Remember last time went down and Lowe said we still had much to be proud of, first class catering and a radio station that was the envy of the league, cross those out and replace them with ground breaking light show for Semmens relegation rally call.

You don't create atmosphere by making a lot of noise. That comes from the supporteres and not from the loudspeakers.

You just made me think of the night p*mpey came to town in that League Cup game yonks back - the atmosphere between both sets of fans before the match was intense and crackling as kick off approached. They sang their song with gusto, we all sent our response back with even more, each rendition louder than the last - whoever was running the PA system just kept turning the volume up to try and drown all of us out, so everyone sang even louder - you just thought what's the point you can't compete with this, its superb.

Its just like the Premier League "Anthem" that goes out with the handshakes - any natural crowd atmosphere and enthusiasm just gets a wet blanket thrown over it.
