Behave. The fa cup always means something. And winning any game means something when you're on a terrible run.

Totally this. V important for team spirit and confidence

We appear to have stopped lumping it forward as much

We haven't lumped it forward at all in the is game. Anyone that says we have is talking bollocks.

Really need to see this out though as our confidence is so fragile it will plunge when they score. If they score.

Why don't you fuck off, I had a season ticket all the way down the league's and all the way back up and was priced out by the PL.

We aren't going to win it or even get to the final. My point was that we manage to get goals in a game that won't affect our league position but play like absolute wank in the league.

Calm down princess

spot on.

Palace are struggling to, so anything we can do to make them worse, might end up helping us too.

Jesus christ, Salisu just stands there for that free kick.

Excellent defending again by Lyanco against Zaha. He's done pretty well so far considering he's up against Zaha and getting little help.

So are we Jones in now??? 👀

It's good but not that good 🙂

Mind you, he is unbeaten in cup games.

Without any NJ biases. How have we actually played?

As if you re going to get much balance from a match thread Lol. Chez is probably as fair as any to ask

Haha, still think it’s a wretched appointment in view of who else we could have had, but if we get a few more QUALITY and EXPERIENCED reinforcements in before the Everton game and he miraculously keeps us up, I will happily eat as much humble pie as I have to!

Second half we’ve been alright in fairness. Mara seems to have brought a bit of energy.

Also constantly makes an effort to make himself available when attacking, unlike some of them.  I still believe there's a decent player in there somewhere.

Much better second half, actually played some decent stuff at times. Edozie definitely needs to work on his end product!

First 30-40 minutes was abject. Not tight enough without the ball, no coherent plan in possession just slow and ponderous.

The past half an hour has shown signs of encouragement, a lot more quicker pass and move when in possession. It’s a mile away from where it needs to be, but night and day from the Forest game in this half.

Palace had a chance to make it 2-0 which would have buried us. Both our goals have come from massive goalkeeper errors. So we’ve been under rut but weathered that well. For now….

Not surprisingly started dreadfully with a back 5. But to be fair after we changed it to a 4 much better. Not exactly Brazil, but much better shape, competed well and defended ok. Good to see some fight and sprint after the sh1tshow midweek.

Decent to well in the second half. Some nice interplay around the box and a good energy about it - limited hoofing also!

Palace have been very unimpressive though.

started poorly, could have been 2-0 down, but by middle of first half we started to dominate possession without offering any threat. We have passed it out from the back, short, all game. Second half we have really got stuck in and been the better side, forcing errors. Deserve to lead.

If this was NJs first game and you hadn't seen the Lincoln, Brighton and Forest games, you would be pretty happy with the appointment. If!

Lyanco again......  Got away with it.

to be fair he is up against Zaha who has mugged off countless fullbacks. He's done very well against him. Not sure I could even blame him if the pen had been given, he had to try to stop him.

It's nice to see us in the lead for a change, but there was a huge slice of long overdue luck about both goals, so I won't get too carried away.

Yes we look 'better' this half, but we still haven't really created any decent chances of note and Palace still look the more likely to fashion a chance.
