Hatch Posted 26 January, 2009 Share Posted 26 January, 2009 true story. But even better than that they have signed Hayden Mullins. Corp Ho must be beside himself.
Scummer Posted 26 January, 2009 Share Posted 26 January, 2009 Just saw that, not the Pele who played for us though.

stevegrant Posted 26 January, 2009 Share Posted 26 January, 2009 Mullins is a "bracing yourself for a promotion push" signing if ever I saw one
Andy_Porter Posted 26 January, 2009 Share Posted 26 January, 2009 Tony Adams really is on to a winner when he gets to replace one of the best young midfielders in the world with Hayden Mullins. Glad to see Pompey are showing about as much ambition as us.
Corporate Ho Posted 26 January, 2009 Share Posted 26 January, 2009 Mullins isn't the most exciting signing but he'll do a job for us until we can spend a bit more money in the summer. Decent squad player and most West Ham fans seem to think he's a decent player. We were never going to sign anyone as good as Diarra anyway but, assuming we stay up, we'll buy a couple of decent players in Jan who'll improve the squad. Anyway, if The Mail are correct (and they've been on the ball with most Pompey stories lately) Saviola has agreed to join us on loan for the rest of the season. Should fit in nicely behind Crouch in a 4 5 1 formation. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1128223/Real-Madrid-star-Javier-Saviola-join-Portsmouth-loan.html?ITO=1490

Andy_Porter Posted 26 January, 2009 Share Posted 26 January, 2009 He's 27, never really done much with his career despite loads of potential when he signed for Barca.

If you haven't got any money now, what makes you think you'll be loaded in the summer?

If you haven't got any money now, what makes you think you'll be loaded in the summer? Gaydamak is waiting for an escalation in Gaza, then he can cash in on his sales and fund some more purchases. Oh sorry, I forgot. It's his son who owns Pompey.
