Mr X Posted 28 December, 2022 Posted 28 December, 2022 Desperate times call for desperate measures is there a better captain than JWP? he seems too nice for the role and doesn't have the grit and bottle to fire up the team also his form is atrocious at the moment set play aside. Would anyone be any better or is he the best we've got? I'm thinking perraud might be a good shout? Seems to actually care There are more fiery characters such as lyanco and salisu but they don't have the temperament
Miltonaggro Posted 28 December, 2022 Posted 28 December, 2022 Stuart Armstrong seems the most level headed and committed of this meek and mild group but he has to be on the park and NJ doesn’t seem to fancy him. Often said in recent years we have a team of son in laws, currently we have a majority of apathetic non-verbal eunuchs. Expect some nutjobs from the Championship to arrive soon to inject some ‘wonderful aggression’ and white noise.,
Toussaint Posted 28 December, 2022 Posted 28 December, 2022 (edited) Lyanco, but he won’t play much unless he establishes himself in a Romeu role. Stu, agreed, but seems to be out of favour, have a feeling he may leave. CC if he played regularly. No standouts now Romeu that has sadly gone. Edited 28 December, 2022 by Toussaint

Chewy Posted 28 December, 2022 Posted 28 December, 2022 You need a player that will play week in, week out no matter what. So Ely it is then 2 1
LGTL Posted 28 December, 2022 Posted 28 December, 2022 There’s probably a better captain in the crowd, let alone the club.

The captain needs a cool and disciplined head, with the awareness to apreciate the flow and feel of the game, steady the team, and drive them on at the right times. They should also be committed to the club. So no, not him.
It's There Posted 31 December, 2022 Posted 31 December, 2022 Very left field, so to speak, Livermento? Captained at Chelsea, excellent attitude…
Charlie Wayman Posted 31 December, 2022 Posted 31 December, 2022 Maya Yoshida is coming back, guest of honour in the Box on Boxing Day. Surely you didn't think he was there by accident? 1

People have short memories calling him a “club legend” I remember when we had a good side and he came in the odd game people would gasp in the crowd when he got the ball as he would always do a dodgy pass back to the keeper.

Convict Colony Posted 1 January, 2023 Posted 1 January, 2023 I'm gonna say Che, he tries to lead by example and also has a go at people.

When Fulham got their lucky first goal it was Adams who called the whole team into a huddle in the middle of the pitch and was speaking to the players. 1
