This is my massive concern, how can we, as a fan base, have trust in the ownership group if they ignore the obvious and plough forward here? This isn't a fickle fan base calling for a managers head after a few games, this is a club being torn apart by someone who is entirely unhinged and anyone with an ounce of sense will see that this is not sustainable, you gain nothing by giving anyone a chance here.

You'd struggle to trust them with any decision going forward, and let's face it even though they've tried things, their decision making up to now has been inept.

Well, if Ankersen allows him to carry on it's one more example of this fool telling us he thinks he's far more intelligent than the rest of us combined. Delusional.

Looks like he is staying and they will spin the fans forum later

Spin all they like it’s results that they will be judged on and under him we are stuffed they have to live with that.

From the genuine page, how's this for logic ?

"He became homesick at Luton so took an opportunity to move to Spain with Badajoz and then Numancia "

Yeah I saw that before - bizarre.

Reckon they will want to diffuse the fans forum at the latest possible opportunity, if they are. Give them time to get the new person in and sweetness and light at the event. Or they will just can it...

It's going to be a load of old gubs asking about pies and Bovril or a 10-year contract for Prowsey anyway. A huge sham.

To be fair, pies and Bovril would be a decent replacement for Nathan Jones.

Next manager betting on Skybet has Gerrard in second place. Dear God.

Gallardo top, Poch third, Nuno Espirito  fourth, then Benitez and Parker

God help us if Parker is our next manager!

I'd go for Poch and offer a contract however if not keen long term until the end of this season along with a million bonus for keeping us up.

Poch also managed without even speaking english to the fans!

Just over 20 years, we appointed a very unpopular manager in WGS. He won over the fans quickly as well. The issue isn't the fans, it's the manager. Even look at the way he often refers to the club as 'they' rather than 'we'. He is just utterly divisive.

Jones’ English isn’t much better.

I actually don't know what they are clinging onto apart from their ego.

Results have got worse, so not that. We can't score from open play. Defence is leaking. Midfield overrun especially if there is no Lavia who he just threw under a bus. There is no reputation to cling to, or relevant experience. He's alienated the fans, and continutes to do so. He appears to be having a breakdown. And it seems he is pissing off the players although harder to validate that.

What are they clinging to that this can be turned around?

During the pandemic, we were constantly reassured that "football without fans is nothing"

I don't feel in the grand scheme of things that Saints fan are one of the archetypal "fragile, unreasonable or hostile" fan bases.

I think we know what we are, we know know where we stand in the grand scheme of things and on the whole support the team through most things.

The weight of fan opinion towards Jones is in all likelihood never going to be able to be undone, because even if he wins a couple of games, he is always going to be on the backfoot as soon as a bad result comes.

They need to take into account fan sentiment here, get someone in that can unite everybody and see how the rest of the season goes.

Talksport's Jim White just said they understand he will be given a 'stay of execution' for now. Utterly ludicrous football club, run by utter morons.

If true then Saturday is showdown time. No mercy for any of them including Ankerson.

Pinch of salt time but apparently he’s gone

So lets see if that info is correct or not

Edit - Not info I inherantly trust but its from a reasonably informed source

All stewards have been told they must be in attendance Saturday.

Guessing Jones will still be here.

If thats true and the reason is because they expect trouble then surely that must tell them all they need to know about sticking by this manager

Galardo was someone many ITK's were referring to back in October time, he was leaving Boca and were supposedly well up for getting him and had chats.

But we decided Sunday league Jones was the better bet, and more expensive too, go figure.

The genius of Ankersen 🙂

If Jones is there on Saturday it will at the very least be entertaining.

I've just bought a ticket for Saturday in the Northam to witness the chaos :D

That is insane, he should not be allowed anywhere near those players again after what he's said.

Losing any faith I had in this ownership group as it stands, I fear for our future if these are the decisions they are making.

Now 1/3 (from 2/9) to be next mgr sacked. Slightly higher odds which is not a worry at this stage but be happier when I see it at 1/20

Well… I can disregard that source in the future then 😂

The situation is quite clearly not fixable

A win against Wolves (which seems far from possible anyway) would just delay the inevitable for a tiny bit longer and we’d be right back here with another loss

It is not going to get better

If that’s true the board is complicit and reckless.

Looks like Jones isn’t the only one having a mental breakdown under the pressure, then.

We now don’t have a single senior figure at the club making a single rational decision.

If he’s in charge for Wolves I suggest the initial chants are aimed at the board, not Europe’s greatest manager. We can turn on him once we’re 2 down after half an hour

What the actual fuck do they expect to happen on Saturday?

The atmosphere will be terrible. The team will be shit and we'll have squandered another must win game at the behest of Ankersen's ego.

Madness.

Exactly. Extremely concerning that they can’t see it.

Surely they should have sat down and played out the scenarios. Barring a ridiculous winning streak the fans won’t forgive him and the chances of a winning streak under him are exactly zero.

Elyounoussi will be polishing his boots ready for Saturday as we speak !

Completely pointless to keep him.

If he is in charge on Saturday do we really expect the players will be doing their all for him? Do we really think his 'gameplan' will suddenly start to work?

Or is it more likely that players will down-tools and we'll see another home defeat? Of course they should not do that, being professionals; but if they really don't like him and want him gone...

Saturday could be carnage.
