Right, hear me out on this one.

I don’t think Jones is the right man for us and is a deadman waking. I also don’t agree with the way he handles criticism etc.

However, I said a week or 2 ago, he’s a dead man walking, so he may as well had do it his way. Fuck the fans, fuck the players. Go out on your sword.

if he’s being influenced by anyone to play a way in what he doesn’t agree with, then than needs to stop and fair play to him if he tells them to fuck off.

Some of these players need a rocket up the arse and I honestly believe there is a real poisonous attitude in this camp.

Let’s see how it goes against wolves. Expecting another car crash, but let’s see.

Completely agree. He’s said it so now let’s see what you’re made of NJ.

Fat Sam definitely isnt the answer, he wouldnt be able to keep this team up. There also doesnt appear to be many other top managers who would want to come to us right now. And Selles until the end of the season is not the answer either.

Like I've said before I would be surprised to see us change the manager again this season. But that interview doesnt help Jones' case at all

I won't be. If he continues to lose they can't continue with him following today's comments without really looking ridiculous and further damaging their credibility. If I were them I'd be seriously looking at booting him out before Tuesday and admitting an error to lessen the anger from the fans.

He says that he wants the team to be on the front foot and play aggressive.

Since Jones appointment I was skeptical and underwhelmed. I just figured we would be better off getting somebody in with proven pedigree when facing a relegation battle.

I was willing to give him a chance but in all honesty it's time for him to go some of the post match comments are astounding, stupid and bizarre it's like the man resides in a bubble and is watching a completely different game from the rest of us.

I'm still sat here scratching my head trying to work out what is our current style of play? Everything appears disjointed without any substance, fluidity and cohesion.

Everything from tactical line ups , formation seems backwards.

Regarding substitutes again it just seems like it's a case of we are getting battered let's chuck anyone on.....

Us fans can see it

Massively out of depth

Imagine what the players think? Must think he is a right numpty....

Get him gone! ASAP

It's embarrassing

Anyone else happier this evening after accepting relegation? It's the hope that kills you and this is the first result where I no longer have any so I can just watch as an interested observer at the car crash for the rest of the season and hope that we bin Jones and start preparing for next year ASAP.

Accepted relegation the second he was appointed and genuinely don’t think we reach 30 points. As a result I can enjoy him wreck his future career without worrying about us.

Bielsa.

If we go down, let's do it with excitement and effort.

Then bounce straight back up.

Might aswell put him out his misery and give the job to Selles for rest of season.

Yep. Accept relegation, give it to Selles and go hunting for an experienced manager next year to win promotion.

isn’t that a complete contradiction?

My guess is he's talking about other coaches maybe and the players which isn't outside sources.

There is no way back now. The car crash interview has proved he is simply not up to the job. I feel for him and his family.
If SR don’t see this tonight then the club will be in an even bigger crisis come the summer.

Not convinced the players are dictating to Jones how they should play. You hardly hear a peep out of them on the pitch, so doubt they could muster the balls to dictate to the manager on the training ground/changing room. I'd go with Ankersen or Selles.

Its just chaotic. Doesnt get on with some players it appears and is now  calling out certain individuals for how we're playing. Crisis club

He already told Everton that it wasnt enough time to implement his style. Asked to take their under 21s sure 😂

I do to a degree too. He's so clearly not up to the job and the abuse is just going to get worse and worse for him if he stays. I genuinely don't want him to be subjected to that really but the club should do it now and avoid it.

Crisis yes but is Jones the manager the man to turn that round? The buck stops with him and him alone.

It’s over,  he’ll be gone by Monday morning. Get Nigel in to manage to the end of the season to unite the club and Bielsa to do his thing behind the scenes with the academy (which he wanted to do at Everton I believe) and then he can take over in the summer.

So how did the magical 4 at the back go today? Is the system still the issue or is there some other magical yet so simple thing he's not doing?

Interview was funny by the way. Wish he'd be a little more honest though and really call out the shit defenders and the toxic fanbase.

Systems don’t win matches pal, players do. Or something. Whatever, it definitely ain’t down to no manager.

Ok so I am a sad cunt and jones has trotted out a narrative we have always been terrible at defending but I just checked out stats in the EPL for defending.

Ralph conceded an average 1.64 goals per game in the premier league, Jones currently is at 2 goals a game in the league so we have got worse defensively with him.

Although will include periods when Ralph was doing decent job, think fair comparison would be similar amount of games, on prem in 2022

Yeah,  I agree.  I accepted relegation a couple of weeks ago so I'd rather give it to Selles and look for a manager in the summer.  Only worry is that SR appointed Jones in the first place so I don't have much confidence they'll get it right at second time of asking.

Jones has to go though - he's clueless and probably the only one who believes the guff he comes out with.

Hey nathans father in law good of you to post.

If you could pass on to nathan to not play 2 of our better centre backs the day before the game, stop picking diallo who cant pass wind and defends like a chocolate fireguard,,ask him to look up the word accountability and have a discussion internally how having possession helps you control games, having little possession makes you reactive and you lose the initiative in games.

Thanks

You can't compare like for like, you have to compare against his record at Luton, that's how it works!

It's so weird how he continually talks about the team before he got here and about his time at Luton.

This is Redknapp all over again. He continually referred to Saints as "they" and harped on about pimpley all the time.

One of many that he comes out with. He ties himself in knots as he flounders to make excuses for himself. It's getting pathetic to watch now.

Exactly what I was thinking. Personally I think he's full of shit. He hasn't been compromised, he's just been scrambling around trying desperately to find something that works because he hasn't got a clue.

Don't involve clever Rasmus in the next appointment would be my advice.

If you listen or read anything he ever says, it's always a complete and utter contradiction.

Why on earth are people suggesting Selles takes the job? He been up to his nuts in the shite we’ve been watching the last year, get someone new in to give us a slight chance.

Maybe I shouldn’t have made the poll anonymous 🤔

When you're asking people to share an answer that they may be ashamed for or that might lead to them being ostracised it's safer to make it anonymous. It's not ok to out people.

He was so good he turned Juventus AND Real Madrid down when they knocked on his door.

Luton is the feeder club for managerial appointments to Europe's elite for a reason.

It's not only the results now.. I simply don't like him as a person.

Loves lapping up the credit when we've won (which is very rare) and takes zero responsibility when we lose. Also the use of "they" in interviews and throwing his own players under the bus constantly. Anything to deflect the blame from himself.

We're going down with him and I wouldn't want him in charge next season, so let's bite the bullet now and get a solid manager in place to give us a fighting chance.
