Excellent, now a chance to forget the crushing disappointment of the World Cup with even more disappointment!

Unless there was a behind closed doors friendly, it seems a bit pointless to fly in another goalkeeper as they're all flying home today. Due to an icy runway at Bournemouth airport, their flight has been redirected to Cardiff.

I'm sure we're playing behind closed doors but does seem Saints preparation is quite low key compared to other clubs who are playing more high profile games

Not sure if this has been covered as the news is a couple of days old, but I hope we’ve not called up another keeper to this tour due to any injuries?

Might just have been because the B team game was called off as Everton pulled out so took the opportunity to include some more players.

Yeah, but how many of them do you want to see lining up for us in the premier league? 😆

Probably makes sense not to give too much away in terms of likely formation and style ahead of our upcoming games.

Will be interesting to see if the Lincoln team is essentially the same that faces Brighton or if he decides to share minutes around.

We beat Barcelona in a friendly 2 1 at the weekend

Last time we played Barcelona in a friendly whilst being at a training camp in Spain we brought Ronnie Eklund back with us. I wonder what little present god will give Nathan?

I’m hoping it’s Depay?

Well it seems we did play another friendly.

According to Mark Wyatt @ the Saints Reporter for Hampshire Live

Southampton played AFC Bournemouth in a behind closed doors friendly yesterday (Saturday) and won 2-0.

Positive result leading into Tuesday’s EFL Cup game for Nathan Jones and his players.

Not confirmed but led to believe it was Theo and Sekou who scored.

I hope Walcott isn't in his plans.

For all you know by the grace of God, NJ could have extracted a second wind from Theo and he's going to discover his unfulfilled promise, a true Christmas miracle.
