SotonianWill Posted 11 December, 2022 Posted 11 December, 2022 With the end of this “it’s coming home” bollox, it’s time to get back to the more important case of how saints escape relegation. 4
S-Clarke Posted 11 December, 2022 Posted 11 December, 2022 (edited) Excellent, now a chance to forget the crushing disappointment of the World Cup with even more disappointment! Edited 11 December, 2022 by S-Clarke 6
goodymatt Posted 11 December, 2022 Posted 11 December, 2022 Not sure if this has been covered as the news is a couple of days old, but I hope we’ve not called up another keeper to this tour due to any injuries?
Disco Stu Posted 11 December, 2022 Posted 11 December, 2022 Unless there was a behind closed doors friendly, it seems a bit pointless to fly in another goalkeeper as they're all flying home today. Due to an icy runway at Bournemouth airport, their flight has been redirected to Cardiff. 1
JRM Posted 11 December, 2022 Posted 11 December, 2022 I'm sure we're playing behind closed doors but does seem Saints preparation is quite low key compared to other clubs who are playing more high profile games

Might just have been because the B team game was called off as Everton pulled out so took the opportunity to include some more players. 1

AlexLaw76 Posted 12 December, 2022 Posted 12 December, 2022 Game brought forward - awesome, less time to wait to see the team in action after a break with th new manager 1
daldridge7 Posted 14 December, 2022 Posted 14 December, 2022 Any idea why have no friendlies planned? Or have I missed something before the Lincoln match?

Dusic Posted 14 December, 2022 Author Posted 14 December, 2022 Probably makes sense not to give too much away in terms of likely formation and style ahead of our upcoming games. Will be interesting to see if the Lincoln team is essentially the same that faces Brighton or if he decides to share minutes around.

BILLY Posted 18 December, 2022 Posted 18 December, 2022 Well it seems we did play another friendly. According to Mark Wyatt @ the Saints Reporter for Hampshire Live Southampton played AFC Bournemouth in a behind closed doors friendly yesterday (Saturday) and won 2-0. Positive result leading into Tuesday’s EFL Cup game for Nathan Jones and his players. Not confirmed but led to believe it was Theo and Sekou who scored.
