So, that's the mangers and the coaches all gone - yet Salisu still taking the long throws.

Who else is going to be making that decision?

That's my concern. Who's making that call?

Eric Black has a lot to answer for!

he's useless thats why, WBA didnt want him and he couldnt get into their side which were relegated, Arsenal have been trying to offload him for the past 2 seasons, why we even went for him i have no idea.

Same agent as Aribo I believe. Said agent is supposedly a good friend of Shields.

Add AMN to the Shields fuck up list next to Bazunu.

One cool thing. It seems to me NJ has insisted on much more rapid decision making on throw-ins.  There's evidence that the longer you wait, the more likely it is for turnover. It's been torture in the past watching our fullbacks take forever to throw the ball, only to give it away.  I've noticed a big change this match.  Sometimes whoever's closest to the ball just takes the throw right away. This is new. And I think this is a really big deal over the course of a game. If you can retain possession 20% more after throw-ins, that's worth a lot.

It's a shame we still have Salisu taking them then.

Maybe we’ve been spoilt with the WC but this is shocking. The system is confused with nothing going through the middle, just out to the wings and then back inside for a long ball. It takes our players two touches to get the ball under control.
As for AMN, I just don’t see what our staff see in him. The bloke is stealing a living.

Worst I've seen us for a long time, and we've not been great for a long time.

Wonder what formation we played against Bournemouth?

Is this the same AMN that everyone was clamouring for Ralph to play when he said he wasn’t up to our standard yet?

Well, apart from one good move for our goal that was an absurdly shocking half. Our team has struggled for an identity this season, and that performance was as bad as anything under Ralph this season.

3 at the back is turgid shite, we lose the midfield battle, AMN is hopeless, and we have little creativity. And Salisu is still taking long throws. I’m struggling to see what Jones has brought to the party, it seems we’ve reverted to what we were at the very start of the season.

Just abject.

That was staggeringly bad. We look like the league 1 side, got lucky with an offside goal. Ali Dia's cameo was better than AMN's performance this evening - three times he kicked it out of play? No shape, lacking in ideas, misplaced passes and shot confidence. I don't think it matters a jot what happens in January, this side is depleted of energy and will. See ya later PL. Good luck Nathan Jones, you're going to need it. (Would love to be proven wrong)

Can anyone state what "our" standard is ?

Have to say that first half was extremely concerning.

Playing 5 at the back vs a league 1 side at home. Minimal penetration and making them look comfortably compact... and when the 3rd tier side attack they look more threatening. He's actually got us playing a worse 5-3-2 than Southgate used to play... and Southgate used to get away with it because we had one of the best squads in international football with Kane and co up front... I cannot even tell you the last time i watched a top flight side use that many long balls. WTF. The only mitigation i'll allow for that first half is that he's possibly using it to familiarise the team with a defensive shape for some of the more dangerous attacking teams in the prem... maybe... He talked in his press conference about needing to keep things tight, and then finding ways to get a goal. Looks quite worrying on both fronts in that first half.

We've been saying it for years but never have I felt it more that out luck is going to run out this season... We are not premier league quality

Where’s this passion from our fans? Who’d jump off a bridge and bounce off a bus for Saints?

That's our problem. We're too nice to do that.

This is garbage. Two forwards, Two sideways midfielders, five defenders and a headless chicken and playing like it against a third division side. Go back to a 4-4-2, up the tempo and take Elyonoussi and Lyanco off. Give JWP and AMN a big kick up the backside neither rate a place and JWP is not improving.

It's weird. Selles is the only one of the old guard. Well, the only one on the coaching staff.

I concur with the hopeless, toothless comments. It ain’t looking good. I wish Nathan Jones all the luck in the world but I literally don’t know who or how this sinking ship can avert disaster.

We have some terrible players, some unintelligent players and some which fall into both camps like Lyanco.

I'm sat behind the dugouts. Just before half time ball is rolling towards the touchline, their player shielding it, Lyanco behind him. Jones is shouting "NO FOUL, NO FOUL, NO FOUL" so what does Lyanco do? Yes, he commits a completely unnecessary foul and gives away a free kick in an attacking position.

Quite enjoying the comedy moments like Maitland Niles tripping over the ball, Maitland Niles needlessly passing the ball out of play and Maitland Niles attempting to control a ball.

Lincoln fans very decent for most of the first half. Ours are shit, resorting to crap like shouting "who are ya" when we scored and trotting out the ultra 1980's non-league "you fat bastard" when the keeper takes a goal kick.

So happy proper football is back.

Yeah, but it's a game of two halves, innit?

We will wipe the floor with them second half, with an excellent display

Loving the reactions here, we have been poor all season.

However I actually thought the tempo of our play has gotten a lot quicker hence we are seeing these errors and terrible touches around the midfield and forwards as there are more runners etc.
