Correct!

I remember driving down to The Dell only to find out it had sold out!

I was refused entry due to being too pissed.  Been out all day with Lincoln mates who had come down for the match

Home game after a 6 week break, can act as a pre season for the manager , chance to give players proper run out and get through,  few days before Christmas,  school holidays etc should get a decent crowd in.

Shame it was the other way round always thought the name Sincil Bank just had something about it - but one to knock off the list before they moved. And visited the Christmas Market with Mrs JBS.

Before someone pulls on their anorak and goes all MLG yes I know it’s currently the LNER stadium.

Nice. Lovely draw. Nice for City to find Liverpool too. Realistically worse case it’s the following for next round if we manage to sneak past Lincoln.

Forest

Wolves

Newcastle

Man Utd

Man City

Leicester

Brighton

Exactly. People saying the draw is for the taking and in the end, it may well be 8 PL teams left.

Most of which will comfortably stroll past saints.

Plus Jones doesn't take the cups seriously historically.

Historically he's not had much of a squad outside his first XI though.

In this case

- First game in 6 weeks no need to rest players , possibly also have KWP and Livramento back by then plus not many players at world Cup.

- First home game for new manager will want to start with a win build some confidence

- few days before Christmas wants to make sure he gets his fair share of roast spuds at his Saints supporting inlaws a few days later won't want to upset them with a cup defeat.

Get into the 1/4s and see who we get, might as well make a go of it once you get that far.

Just had a flick at one of their forums, they actually seem confident to get a result. That's where we are at right now 😅

Probably fair enough if you look how we struggled against Sheffield Wednesday (but then they also just lost away at Chippenham Town so yeah bit of a cheek 🙄

League One clubs aren’t having a World Cup break, whereas we’ll be restarting our season. That should hopefully be the only factor that causes the match to be a tight one.

We just need to get to a semi final and hope the only other three clubs remaining are Football League clubs. It’s happened before. 🤷‍♂️

A League One side at home with a chance to get to the QF's should mean we take this relatively seriously.

I feel far more comfortable and confident this being at St Mary's than if we had to go to Sincil Bank. Tricky ties for Leicester, Forest and Brighton too. I would expect one of those to lose.

Hopefully City and/or Liverpool, Newcastle or Man Utd get drawn against each other (provided they get through) and then its simply a case of how much do you want to target the competition.
