Apart from Queen Victoria, other famous people who married their cousins include; Albert Einstein, Charles Darwin, Edgar Allen Poe and H.G. Wells. As far as I know, none of them were Muslims.

Also Queen Elizabeth 2nd married her second cousin, once removed.

Hi soggy I ignore for a moment that you've again ignored my question despite hammering nutty Nic for days on end because he wouldn't answer yours. Have you got any examples from anyone born in the last 100 years? Ideally in the last thirty would be better when morals were more closely aligned with those of today. The thing is all the examples you've cited lived when child labour was still legal and it was fine to send them out to work but presumably you wouldn't consider that fine nowadays.

HG Wells seems appropriate for SOG to reference. He's very much The Invisible Man when challenged here, and shares delusions with the main character. If only he had a Time Machine to go back and reflect before deciding on his views. Sadly, that probably wouldn't help. What we've had will be just like The Shape of Things to Come.

The defence seems to be little more than it’s alright as people did it 100s of years ago, then the other line is why does it bother you so much. Both pretty odd lines of reasoning as the same people often triumphantly proclaim how great it is society has moved on so much. They’re also the first to lambast others for not being as concerned as they are about things that bother them (which is pretty much very fashionable cause on the woke league)

To be fair (perhaps), it is possible for policies that don't raise "much" overall (relative to GDP) to affect people significantly at an individual level...

It is possible, in some cases, but there will not be mass bankruptcies in farming - it's a front page of shallow propaganda attacking all of their usual targets.

I don't think thousands will be bankrupted, many affected will just sell their farms and not do farming anymore. It's what happens once farms have been sold that is a concern.

This is not a tax on revenue but a confiscation of assets.  There's a big difference. It's not sustainable.
