Surely an organisation where more than 20% of the workforce are from ethnic minorities, and 30% of medical staff are Asian, is demonstrating it's diversity without the need for further active promotion. 1

Apart from being the right thing to do it is also a legal requirement. Given the NHS has c550 million patients each year and 1.3 million employees one diversity manager per 660,000 patients and 1,600 employees seems pretty sparse. 4
