Can’t hope for better than Portugal/Switzerland/Morocco in the semis.

Was the same not said about Croatia 4 years ago lol

We're not the same team who played Croatia: We've four years more experience, including a Euros final + an in form Bellingham. Way more confident all round

Also the people "who said that about Croatia" were right and they are still right. They were our best chance of getting to a World Cup final.

Also the people who said that about Ukraine and Denmark in the Euros were a right as well as they were great opponents to have to get to a final.

In an alternative world Gakpo and Ramos are currently with the saints squad in Spain training after not playing for 3 months whilst they’re learning Ralphball. Meanwhile Portugal and Holland are on the flight home from Qatar

Just strap a 1.21 gigawatt generating nuclear reactor to the team bus, get some really improbably hot cups of tea from the canteen, to stir really quickly while travelling in it, and it's on! 🙂

The sterling thing all seems a bit odd. We were told that he went home as his family were apparently home and shaken by armed raiders. It turns out that nobody was home when he was apparently burgled. I'm not surprised that there needs to be a discussion about whether he should rejoin the squad.

Circumstances may be odd but he still would have wanted to fly back and check his family etc are all ok.

Being burgled at any time is traumatic for the families involved irrespective of where they were at the time. It rocks the whole foundation of people's sense of peaceful co-existence and wellbeing. Never under-estimate the impact it has on others.

The fact that in this case the victims were a well known person and his family has no bearing on the distress that will have been caused whatsoever.

By the way does anyone know if those pundits out there taking their money are still doing their bit for humanity or has that died down now?

I think they are busy being sportswashed.

That big substitute centre forward for Croatia is a dreadful footballer then goes and produces one of the best bits of skill of the match, although he looked surprised himself he’d done it 🤣🤣

Decent looking player that Neymar fella

P.s. wtf was the Croatia keeper up to though? Closed down Neymar then ushered him through...

Winner of England v France wins the World Cup

Not a fan of Croatia. But got to like those penalties. They focused on striking the ball cleanly, doesn't matter if the keeper goes the right way if a professional footballer strikes the ball with force. Once again the flamboyant run ups are the misses.

Also Neymar is an utter coward.

I think England would have more chance against Brazil than Croatia, to be honest. Croatia will kill us in midfield, like Italy did in the Euros final.

Massive respect to them though. Mental giants.

I dunno, I wouldn’t fancy our defence up against Brazil. Against Croatia we have a chance.
