Oh! and that penalty miss. Why can't these people bow out gracefully when they are at the top rather than hang on and on and on when clearly their best days have become distant memories. There are none so blind as those that do not want to see. Not sure what game you were watching but aside from the penalty miss Messi was the best player on the pitch, even at 35. They highlighted some of his sublime passing and runs after the game, certainly wasn't just safe 3 yard passes. 2

There are none so blind as those that do not want to see. You could say that about Bale but not Messi yet . Yes he has slowed down a bit but it was shown on the review all the dead weight passes he is still making with the WC beach ball that most players are over hitting plus his odd solo run etc . Not as young as he was but still a totem/asset to Argentina at his last WC (probably)

nta786 Posted 1 December, 2022 Posted 1 December, 2022 Germans will come 2nd in their group after beating Costa Rica, face Morocco in the next round and then Portugal in the quarters now and get to the semi-finals now won't they... 1
OttawaSaint Posted 1 December, 2022 Posted 1 December, 2022 Canada getting badly outclassed by Morocco. A real learning experience for this team. Many Canadians got a bit carried away after the performances in qualifying. But when you only have 1 or 2 from the top leagues you'll always struggle.

Some of the lesser teams stink the place out with negative approach. Ultimately will get them fck all of course 1

Morocco could easily beat Germany but you just know it won’t happen

Don't be daft - a Moroccan wanted to be sure having got the 98th and 99th goal of this World Cup one of them got the 100th and whilst thinking it would be nice to show the Canadians how to score in the oppos net 🙂 1
Sheaf Saint Posted 1 December, 2022 Posted 1 December, 2022 Lukaku looks like he's been taking coaching tips from Che Adams. He's just missed two sitters in two minutes (although the second one would have been disallowed anyway).
OttawaSaint Posted 1 December, 2022 Posted 1 December, 2022 Hutchinson header hit crossbar then down onto the line and out. So close!
niceandfriendly Posted 1 December, 2022 Posted 1 December, 2022 Has there been a World Cup with consistently worse atmospheres than this one?

I’m afraid you’re going to have to get used to it. The gentrification of domestic football is spreading to international tournaments. The Nods have always been there, but they’re on the rise… 2

LiberalCommunist Posted 1 December, 2022 Posted 1 December, 2022 That was vintage Rom. Like Utd 2019 level vintage. Fuck me, I was started to think he was Croatian!

Sorry, can’t agree, couldn’t even bring myself to watch it with that cacophony, absolutely ruined it. I also wonder if the local tv production makes the best of any atmosphere, we sure do, when I was at Anfield a few weeks back you could have had a chat from one stand to another, when I watched motd it sounded like a cracking atmosphere. 2

No you’re right the vuvuzelas were infuriating, I was being flippant as these Qatar atmospheres are painful to experience. Maybe I’m just going off football in general thanks for VAR, appalling on-pitch refereeing, simulation, contact being outlawed, dreadful pundits and commentators etc, but I’ve barely enjoyed this World Cup so far. Feels soulless and just boring. I’m not even looking forward to watching Saints again although I haven’t looked forward to watching Saints for bloody ages. I’m sure plenty of people would happily take the above nonsense though if I meant I give up watching footy and stop posting on here. 2

Manuel Posted 1 December, 2022 Posted 1 December, 2022 Ha ha. Pundits asked to pick England's best ever goal, Souness picks Maradonna's vs England 👍
LiberalCommunist Posted 1 December, 2022 Posted 1 December, 2022 would have been funny if he'd have picked a OG. But Sou always was a nob-head.
whelk Posted 1 December, 2022 Posted 1 December, 2022 Musiala looks decent. 19! Another that got away
East Kent Saint Posted 1 December, 2022 Posted 1 December, 2022 Andrew: Jamal Musiala has the footwork and the trickery to bamboozle any defender in world football, he’s just been lacking the end product at this tournament so far. One goal or assist and he could burst into life at this World Cup. Defo Saints product .
East Kent Saint Posted 1 December, 2022 Posted 1 December, 2022 Looked like a foot of grass between line and ball , making EPL VAR look good !
Sheaf Saint Posted 1 December, 2022 Posted 1 December, 2022 And now Costa Rica have equalised. Germany will finish bottom as things stand.
The Left Back Posted 1 December, 2022 Posted 1 December, 2022 This is proper World Cup fun. One more Costa Rica goal and it’s the perfect night. and as for Souness lecturing everyone on how much better Spain are than everyone and he fears for England playing them, what a twat

Victor Posted 1 December, 2022 Posted 1 December, 2022 Japan to top a group that includes Spain and Germany?! Boufal trough to last 16. Gets weirder and weirder.

SNSUN Posted 1 December, 2022 Posted 1 December, 2022 If Spain and Germany go out (big if as a lot of game time to play) then surely that's the biggest group upset of all time? Unthinkable. Germany just equalised... never mind.
trousers Posted 1 December, 2022 Posted 1 December, 2022 (edited) Cock.... Germany lead Cue a Spain goal any minute now.... Edited 1 December, 2022 by trousers
badgerx16 Posted 1 December, 2022 Posted 1 December, 2022 That 4th German goal was offside, no question, but somehow VAR decides it isn't.
Saint_clark Posted 1 December, 2022 Posted 1 December, 2022 Yoshida having a great tournament so far. Might even be in with a shout for team of the tournament if he keeps it up for a couple more rounds.
SNSUN Posted 1 December, 2022 Posted 1 December, 2022 Tense this. Bye Germany. Goodbye my sweepstake chance...
