Pat Nevin: "The skills of Sofiane Boufal are fantastic."

The problem, as we know,  is that he only displays them in 1 game in 10. Admittedly, that first half was one of those occasions, when he looked the most skilful player on the pitch.

I have no doubt Nathan Jones could get a tune out of Boufal…….and Ramirez……and would have tamed Oswaldo

You only have to look at what he did to the Stoke and Luton players to see that.  He'd have Boufal playing like a Luton player in no time.

I wonder if Souness is close to ejaculating at the wondrous Spain this afternoon

He’s jinxed them. 135 minutes on from declaring ‘they’re on another level’ to everyone else, it turns out he’s right, that level being League One

LOL at Graeme Souness. I hope his half-time bit of know-all punditry from the Japan game gets played over and over again, especially if England win the World Cup.

"That's how you win the World Cup. "🤣

He said something similar at the Euros, when we drew with Scotland

Dictionary definition of bottling it.

Appalling penalties.

If you played Spain and Japan’s penalties back to back you’d think you were watching Sunday League Junior 2. Shockingly poor even allowing for nerves

Ref conned by Richarlson. At least PL refs have him sussed out. Horrible player.

Really disappointed in South Korea, why bother turning up if they're not going to make a game of it. School boy errors all over the pitch.

Turned off at 25 mins, sickened by the sycophantic bullish*t from the commentators.

Maybe 'Charlie Wayman' is some kind of malfunctioning auto-bot account rather than my previous deduction that 'he' is a consortium of posters.... Hmm, the plot thickens... ;)

Didn't know Macarthy played for Switzerland.

I thought, based on SaintsWeb, that keepers should never be beaten at the near post.

In favour of Goncalo Ramos, another of our supposed hopeful summer targets. If he's displacing Ronaldo in the Portugal team (edit: and scoring!) then I think we can safely say that train has well and truly sailed down the motorway and flown off into the sunset.

Haha, it’s truly incredible we agreed terms with this bloke and Gakpo but ended up doing nothing.

Goncalo Ramos 1-0

I think the man who’s just scored his 16th goal of the season in all comps, aged 21, is, was and always has been out of our reach. Likewise Gakpo.

Why would we agree terms with player(s) that we never stood a chance of signing?

Seems like a waste of time to me...

Think Portugal look like they are playing with much more freedom without their superstar millstone posturing around the pitch.

Tyldesley still makes your ears bleed with his flippin inane wittering.

Not really sure on the ins and outs but it seems to be what SR said to The Athletic.

Gakpo one seemed like PSV pulled the plug late on, no clue with Ramos.
