Squad value versus league position

Found this on FB; not sure how accurate but it would suggest we are  one of the underperforming teams ( no surprise there) but not as much as the likes of Villa, Leicester, Wolves, Forest and Liverpool

Let's hope we can follow Arsenal's lead in having a poor season and then a lot better one as new, younger and inexperienced players bed in. Staying up is always critical but even more so this season after the money we spent, which is still below the average.

By underperforming, about 1 point lower than this predicts. 

Pretty much shows hardly anyone is far off their money spent, interesting but no real surprises.

Is that the same Liverpool who are unable to compete with Man City financially, and are totally aghast with Man City's approach to squad investment?

Thought so.

I don't think that's a big enough variation to really say we're underachieving by much, especially when there are like 1 or 2 points in it.

Are these figures are correct?  Have Brentford really spent £300m on players? Or has someone arbitrarily assigned values to each teams players?

YeH, saw this too and thought it was a really good analysis that aligns to where we’re at.
