Nolan Posted 2 November, 2022 Posted 2 November, 2022 (edited) Southampton City Council are planning on shutting East Park Terrace for cars. This may affect who comes in via the Avenue and who parks at Eastgate Multistory on Matchdays (especially as Portland Terrace is also due to be shut to cars under West Quay) People can comment in the Councils Survey here: East Park Terrace Sustainable Corridor | Your City Your Say Southampton Edited 2 November, 2022 by Nolan 1
alehouseboys Posted 2 November, 2022 Posted 2 November, 2022 Get an efficient public transport system up and running first then closing all these city centre roads and car parks is understandable. Pie-in-the-sky but an extensive underground network, tram system or…blast from the past…monorail, then it’s a goer! Matchdays for out-of-towners will probably become too much of a pain in the nutsack for many, especially if the trains continue to act up.
Kenilworthy Posted 2 November, 2022 Posted 2 November, 2022 They have already done a great job on the Avenue. It used to flow freely and now its a virtual car park even coming in 4 hours before kick-off. 3
St Chalet Posted 3 November, 2022 Posted 3 November, 2022 It's shame that there is no railway line near the ground.
