Saints seem to be incapable of holding on to the ball for any length of time and when they do it invariably ends up back with the 'keeper for him to hoof it. Might was well just hoof it into the channels if that's the best we can do.

So may poor individual performances out there today it's hard to single out any one player. But if I had to - it would be Diallo. He is not, and never will be e DM. He's so lightweight and weak, and his passing is dodgy at the best of times, but fucking terrible today.

It's all very well blaming Ralph for the tactical set up, but I don't think there is much he could have done/could still do today to improve things if the players are going to perform that badly.

DIFFERENT MENTAL APPROACH FOR STARTERS..............look if we carry on that way we are not getting anything from it, why not put pace on and go for it? Btw i think 1 or 2 red cards  in the second half.

Hopefully thats the last time we see Diallo in a Saints shirt.

Or at least in that position. He does have some useful qualitites, and is a decent ball carrier as we saw late on last week against Arsenal, but he's hopeless in the DM position.

The fact that Ralph keeps persisting with it though - that's just baffling.

Well that first half was diabolical. Palace looked SO much better than us it was embarrassing. Fortunate to only be a goal down. S. Armstrong having a mare but nobody really connecting. Our lack of attacking menace is going to kill us. Time to bring Edozie on and run against Ward.

At least we can't pretend sitting back and hold on to  a 0-0 will work for us.

well, hopefully it's the last time we see that kind of performance anyway.

He can do better.

You have GOT to bury that.

Gives Ralph his get out of jail card....can hear it now, 'If Che scores maybe it's a different result'.

Adams form continues. Another easy chance hits the 'keeper.

He seems to be useless when given time to think but when he has no time to think scores from tight angles!

Certainly an improvement, though that wasn’t a big ask on the first 45.

Che really is the least instinctive forward in the Prem. Gets put clean through, perfect angle and he lambs it straight at the keeper. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Should have gone for the delicate chop.

AMN looking sooooooo much better than Diallo so far. Actually getting his foot in and stopping Palace from attacking, something of which Diallo is utterly incapable.

A lot of that has to do with us actually pushing up and attacking this half. Beginning to wonder if our tactics are simply to park the bus first half, let the other team tire, and then have a go second half.
