No its the results against Everton Wolves Villa but guess you forgot them

How can you say that, whilst also forgetting Chelsea, Leicester and Bournemouth? It’s the points over 38 games which decide things, same as every season. The case for staying up is that we’re hovering around the relegation, not cut adrift, despite having our better players injured. In the four games Lavia and ABK played together we got seven points.

How many people, "cant make a case for," Villa staying up? Or Leicester, Wolves, Leeds or anyone else around the bottom three. Weird how people only ever say that about their own team.

Ralph's surprise tactic didn't bother Arsenal much.

But in RalphWorld there will be pats on the back for having changed it.

More of the usual after that. We set up to close space between the lines (which we were rubbish at until we changed, and even then...) and contain them.

As usual, we invite pressure and chances. There were some well timed blocks and a couple of last Arsenal touches that could have been more clinical.

We did get a little of the ball. But Ralph's automatisms make them look like little robots, relaying on stock passes whether they work or not. There were at least 3 opportunities to pick out clear forward passes. On all 3, we chose to hit it back or to the side, rather than stretch our opponents. I feel for players like Stu and AA, having to work hard within their spaces, with creativity frowned upon.

Despite being the better side, Arsenal still have to dive or fall over under some physical challenges.

Pathetic. There is no structure or processes when we’ve got the ball. Nobody seems to know where to be and we just keep giving the ball away. Get some of the young lads on with a bit of pace and desire. Aside from Lyanco and Bazunu, none of them seem to care.

five at the back fill some of those huge gaps we leave, but it leaves us massively light in front of the ball. We've been better since going to five, as arsenal cant waltz past us, but we really don't know how to utilise five a the back in a positive way going forward.

The problem is pretty obvious to me, we only have one third of a team.

Defensively, Lyanco (should have been better on the goal tbf), DCC, Salisu decent. Getting tight and being aggressive against Jesus.

The problem is 1) how easy arsenal play through our middle third, and 2) how we are struggling to get out via the middle third.

We've left ourselves incredibly light in CM with the sale of Romeu, just weak and meek - nothing in there. Easy to play in and around without much effort.

Attack is what you expect it to be, they're too disconnected from the rest of the team to start with and we don't have anything in the middle to bring them into the game.

Our attack is very, very limited and bordering on shambolic quality wise, but the midfield doesn't give us a chance to compete.

Aribo may have got away with phoning in performances up in Scotland for Rangers but it doesn’t work in this league.

Apart from the clever play at the end of the half he’s been strolling around looking like he hasn’t got a care in the world !

I can understand him not chasing around like a headless chicken when they have the ball and its him v four, but when we have the ball there is zero movement to find some pace and create a path for midfielders.

Lots of questions being asked in this thread.

The answer to almost all of them is "Ralph".

Another answer is being taken over by a squillonaire and have a team full of superstars. Sure, Ralph would coach the creativity out of them and get rid of any independent voices, but it might be the answer for a little while. 🙂

Nailed on to concede early in the 2nd half then concede a 3rd soon after for a classic Saints style roll over. We might actually stand a chance of at least having a go under another manager, look at Villa today!! Despite Lighthouse and his weird infatuation with Ralph, it’s pretty clear that a change of ideas and a fresh approach is needed and that only comes with a new manager. We will be relegated this season if we persist with this clown who should have been sacked when he said he was planning to retire…..he’s taking the piss!

Time to drop JWP but then Who else can deliver a reasonably decent corner or free kick? He doesn't seem to be contributing much else for months

drop for who?

How can you drop JWP when we have no midfield as it is?

We've only got Ryan Finnigan in reserve.

We’ll the pregame broadcast team got it right, showing 5 in the back when the game day squad was announced.

He's the 'heart and soul' of our team though.

Decide not to pass it out form the back, so pass it out wide to Lyanco who just puts it out to touch...

elsewhere, AA got confused when hitting the edge of their box and just tapped it away from himself. No desire to drive on and shoot. Looked immediately for support and fell apart when there wasn;t any. Not someone with a strikers' confidence.
