Today feels like a day where the best we can ask for with our depleted squad and their form is a bit of pride in how we approach the game. Arsenal should be comfortable winners today but stranger things have happened. I miss the gung ho pressing monster tactics that can work so well against bigger opponents. Our identity is missing atm and it makes for low entertainment games. That being said a repeat of April’s 3 point robbery will do nicely under the circumstances.

The treatment of Adams is bollocks and baffling in equal measure. If there were any doubts regarding our best forward before the season started then he’s definitely answered them this season. At least we know the ball won’t stick up top. Attack vs defence. A long afternoon at St. Mary’s.

I’ll raise you Gillingham away, uncovered scaffolding stand, no shelter for miles, lost that one too

I go with Port Vale, midweek, away in the cup. Arrived in Stoke and the coach got pulled over by the police. Ref was making a pitch inspection and the police were ready to turn us round but the game went ahead. We lost. Think Tommy Widdrington chipped the keeper but the ball stopped on the line because of the heavy rain!! People slipping and sliding getting in and out of the ground. Horrible away day!!

Apparently Adams has a hamstring issue  🤷🏼‍♂️

But fit enough for the bench? So it's the sort of hamstring injury that's fine for 20 minutes at the end.

Nothing he does makes sense anymore. He's so obtuse, he's doing my head in.

(Cue sensational win out of nothing to make me look stupid)

I've only got 3 posts, but it's patently obvious that Adams ran himself into the ground on Sunday and he's being rested. They know more than we do about his physical state, and as the guy who just went past me in 'spoons said "he's being rested"..

Funny, someone in The Alex has just walked past me and said “if he’s fit enough for the bench why not start him and give him and hour , he’s our best striker”

I guess the Alex attracts a more knowledgeable clientele than “spoons”

Some people seem to be going to extreme lengths to bash Ralph here.

It's very simple. Che ran himself into the ground on Wednesday and had a tight hamstring (not the same thing as a torn hamstring which would obviously rule him out for a few weeks).

As a result of his tight hamstring he hasn't trained with the rest of the team during the preparations for this match, but is fit enough to play if called upon from the bench.

What is it about this people don't understand?

If he's got a tight hamstring he shouldn't be on the bench at all. Better off putting Ballard there.

There's no way we should be bringing him on today then. It's not worth the risk, he's our only centre forward. It's a dead space on the bench that could have gone to Ballard.

Hamstring my arse. If he was that concerned he wouldn’t put him in the match day squad.
There would be a huge risk him coming on even for ten minutes, pulling his hamstring and being out for six weeks. Better off sticking Ballard on the bench.

Exactly. But that would be logical, and positive. Two traits he doesn’t have. So sick of this. Please have him Villa

Classic Ralph

You've been shite for weeks, so instead of dropping you, congrats you're our new number 9 🤣

I guess he can't play worse. Not sure it's going to matter today. Can't see anything other than an arse win, sadly.

Thankfully, the club physios will be in a much better position to make that decision than you chaps.

It's entirely possible that the tightness has eased and they don't consider there to be any risk of damage if he plays a part of the game today.
