The idea is really interesting, but as we know, it’s REALLY hard to run 1 club well, let alone several.

You find it a lot in investors in business. Invest in 10 start up companies and hopefully one is successful. Financially though, you’d think they need us to be successful asap.

We're clearly slipping down the pecking order with each new acquisition.

But 'joking' aside, maybe there is an element of truth about this - both the Turkish and Irish clubs (Shelbourne are already multiple league and cup winners and have previously qualified for the Champions  League qualifying rounds) could far more easily become big hitters in their respective leagues and then play regularly in European competition. At best, if SR were to progress SFC it could really only to become a regular top-half side with most realistic targets of a cup or European qualification.

More seriously, I can't really believe that we're not seen as the pinnacle of SR clubs right now (despite the state of everything!) which might only change if they're buy a genuinely bigger club or the 'Big 6/7/8' fook off to some super league and take the TV money with them.

Sherbourne can qualify for the Champions League 50 seasons in a row and it won't make more money than we do if we stay in the Premier League.

SR have already said that we are the top club in the group and will be for the foreseeable.

Look, we can't afford a striker and we're about to appoint a nobody manager from Luton. This is not a group on the brink of a billion dollar takeover of Atletico Madrid.

Seem to be more bothered about the amount of clubs they own rather than success.

Isn’t that kinda the whole idea? Hence why Semmems & co were left in charge?

The trouble for him is, they don’t have The Gao excuse to hide behind anymore.

what is Matt Crockers roll in all of this? Is he getting a say on our new manager?

The World Cup break offers SR a chance to get rid of Semmens and his other cronies on the board, review footballing operations and put some decent people in who aren’t talking like we should be grateful we are in the Premier League!

Was mostly tongue-in-cheek, hence the last sentence
