madge Posted 8 October, 2022 Posted 8 October, 2022 Perraud has more shots in 2 seconds than we’ve had all match…
Mr X Posted 8 October, 2022 Posted 8 October, 2022 There can be no denying after this latest confidence hit we are in a relegation battle... Make the change now, nothing to lose!
Chez Posted 8 October, 2022 Posted 8 October, 2022 Mara applies more pressure on a city defender than Che has done all game. earns a corner. Great defending by Salisu and BK. They have kept the score down. 2
Sheaf Saint Posted 8 October, 2022 Posted 8 October, 2022 Perraud just triples our shots tally in the space of 2 seconds. That was a piss poor effort from Ely. 2
Miltonaggro Posted 8 October, 2022 Posted 8 October, 2022 If Ralph changes shirts with Pep at the final whistle he’s 100% off this evening.

Pretty concerning It's not so much about who else is fit it is more a case of wondering why we are so bad under Ralph and he seems incapable of getting the team set up to do even the basics. That is the concern and one of the reasons he should go. 2
Saint NL Posted 8 October, 2022 Posted 8 October, 2022 Whose kicking has been worse? Bazunu or Ederson? Both have been awful

DT Posted 8 October, 2022 Posted 8 October, 2022 4-0 would be a bad result. Still a thrashing, but not quite enough to get him the sack 1
Sheaf Saint Posted 8 October, 2022 Posted 8 October, 2022 We wait until 85 mins to start stringing together any serious spell of pressure on the City goal. Seems to be since Mara and Larios came on.
Roo1976 Posted 8 October, 2022 Posted 8 October, 2022 wow jwp finally played a ball forward, and........found our player wow. Bet Ralph wont be happy with that. 86th min btw.

SNSUN Posted 8 October, 2022 Posted 8 October, 2022 No icing on the cake? A little consolation to give us hope? 2

LGTL Posted 8 October, 2022 Posted 8 October, 2022 Utterly pointless, as we all predicted. Annoyingly, not humiliating enough for him to get the boot at 5.30pm 1
RedArmy Posted 8 October, 2022 Posted 8 October, 2022 Broja scoring but at least all that money we spent on deadline day started today. 🤦🏻♂️

Saint_clark Posted 8 October, 2022 Posted 8 October, 2022 Christ, we went from having a player in their box facing their goal with an opportunity to shoot to passing back to the CBs and giving it away. 1
Suhari Posted 8 October, 2022 Posted 8 October, 2022 Crikey. Went out and mowed the lawn and it's still not 9. #pepout

Chez Posted 8 October, 2022 Posted 8 October, 2022 Again our CBs get us out of jail. They have done well today. The rest? Meh. 2
Saint NL Posted 8 October, 2022 Posted 8 October, 2022 All over. Rancid, boring and pathetic, but still better than expected. Thanks Ralph, it's been fun at times but enough is enough. Let's hope the new manager can gel this lot into a team. He's got his work cut out. 1
trousers Posted 8 October, 2022 Posted 8 October, 2022 In isolation, a 4-0 defeat away to Man City will be about par for most teams in the league this season, but doesn't mask the underlying issues. 3
aintforever Posted 8 October, 2022 Posted 8 October, 2022 Not a terrible result, as expected really. 1
Mr X Posted 8 October, 2022 Posted 8 October, 2022 It's bad when you say we got beat 4-0 and it was a get out of jail job as should have been double that!
OldNick Posted 8 October, 2022 Posted 8 October, 2022 Just now, DT said: Liam Delap scores. Tella did too. And Broja. Delp cant score so no loss IMO. Tella is learning so good, Broja is too expensive. None would have scored for us today. You actually have to get the ball up the pitch to score 2

obelisk Posted 8 October, 2022 Posted 8 October, 2022 Can't say that I'm enjoying my football at the moment. Are we supposed to be pleased with a 4-0 defeat? 1
Saint86 Posted 8 October, 2022 Posted 8 October, 2022 Fair play to the saints fans that are up there. Finished 4-0 because man city were in training mode for much of it. Clear we never had any belief in getting a result today, maybe the intent was only ever to limit the battering. 1

davefizzy14 Posted 8 October, 2022 Posted 8 October, 2022 (edited) I didn't expect much today but I expected us to create a lot more than we did. Very dissapointing. Too open especially in the wide areas. Edited 8 October, 2022 by davefizzy14
Jimmy_D Posted 8 October, 2022 Posted 8 October, 2022 Blimey. Really felt like we went into this one with no confidence at all. At least we're the first team in months to keep Haaland down to one goal, and we're having a better day than Putin? Loss wasn't unexpected, to say the least, but there's a fair bit of pressure on the next couple of games now. Hopefully we can find some of the aggression we had between the Leeds and the Chelsea games. 1
NewYorkSaint Posted 8 October, 2022 Posted 8 October, 2022 People say our problem is no striker. But I think it's the midfield. We REALLY miss Romeu. And Romeo. With Stu Armstrong and JWP just a tad below their best, our traditional strength of winning back the ball relentlessly and blocking most attacks has ebbed. Still, it wasn't really a humiliation today, and I still think we'll end up fine for the season. We'll get a much better sense next Sunday...... 4
gammon cheeks Posted 8 October, 2022 Posted 8 October, 2022 Man City are just world class.....simple as that really .
obelisk Posted 8 October, 2022 Posted 8 October, 2022 Looks like Tella will be just the striker we need next season. 2
