Sorry the club.

I personally wouldn’t want him as I don’t think he’s good enough and I laughed when I was told in the summer.

But looking at his results in the last couple of years he has done bloody well.

Just had to Google him. Confused by ....

Jones began his career with Football Conference club Merthyr Tydfil before joining Luton Town in the summer of 1995. He became homesick at Luton so took an opportunity to move to Spain with Badajoz and then Numancia and returned to England with Southend United in 1997.

Homesick for Wales so moved to Spain.??? Can hear the You Don't Know What You're Doing chants being warmed up already.

But

Sounds like a dream team. Saints and God. I mean I can't see God stopping Haaland scoring against us, but he should at least keep us up.

Has been excellent at Luton, but struggled at Stoke. Similar record to Ralph at Stoke. He might be wary as Stoke had also been in the PL a while before going down as this the case with Saints this season. We were in the PL for 11 seasons and clubs that have been in the PL a while can take a long time to readjust.

Saints are pretty much relegated bar the shouting this season so rest of the season will a free hit as no-one expects him to keep this club up. If the club wanted to survive Ralph would have gone the week before the Everton six pointer.

Next season perhaps SR feel he can get a better balanced squad top 6 and get Saints back into the PL within 3-5 years?

I feel like the bar needs to be a little higher.

There’s trying to predict the next big thing when you’re a comfortably situated club. We are very much in a relegation fight. We haven’t got time to piss about trying to find the next big thing.

Funny how there's noone "in the know" on here anymore" used to get I know a friend of a friend who works for the club and they say.... John Smith is going to be the new manager!

Think SR have made a huge mistake in persevering with Ralph when it is clear he is a busted flush and out of ideas. I'm fed up of hearing him spout the same drivel at pre and after match interviews. When is he going to show some fire in his belly, come out fighting and promise to do something different to arrest the slump? It's the same old same old and most of us are tired of it. Change the record Ralph.....although he probably hasn't got a change in him.

Watch this space with Nathan Jones.

Wanted him in the summer but he wasn’t ready.

Expand

Won't be ready to manage us as long as he's got a hole in his arse according to a Stoke fan I know.

Would be a pretty unambitious appointment, but yet again that seems consistent with the the board.

A reminder of the last time Pilchards pretended to be ITK regarding a managerial change:

I will put my head on the line here and say that Howe is replacing Ralph at the end of October.

Even if we win the next 3 games it won’t make a difference as the camp is not healthy at the moment and whoever the guys are that make those decisions are now taking action.

Why it’s not being done now I don’t know but the source who has radio links with the club said something is being planned.

Mate is a massive Luton fan, watched them today with him v QPR .

Luton play good football and have by a mile the cheapest budget in the championship and wouldn't surprise me if it wasnt cheapest in league 1 as well.

They were gutted when he went to Stoke and don't really know why he failed there but with Luton he is overachieving again this season.

Religion and football don’t mix so no thanks, the last thing we need is a bible thumping manager.
Listening to some of the “Ralph must stay” cultists I am intrigued their main and pathetic thrust is ….we might get “Big Sam” or “Southgate” or someone else equally repulsive. FFS have a little faith and assume our new owners are a little less Luddite. You can improve your team by sacking your manager without a replacement lined up. Just look along the road to Dean Court as an example. Staggering along with a lame duck in charge (as we are at the moment) is the worst of our options. We need some positive leadership from SL. Are they up to it? I fervently hope so.

Arsenal brought in Jesus and Mohamed and they're not doing too bad! Religion may be the answer!

Problem is our last two managers were the dinosaur Hughes and the 'where the fuck am I?' Pellegrino. Ralph comes in with his motivational spiel and high press mantra and that works for a while, but now what do we do? The team is seriously shit. No attack, no midfield. A new manager isn't the answer. Somehow Ralph needs to convince Che that he is Pele and that Diallo/Ely/Aribo are De Bryne.... or we need a hypnotist!

Sorry but who da fluk is Nathan Jones.....

Where is the ambition?

Put the reddies on the table and go and get Poch, Koeman or Tuchel

We can put whatever we want on the table, none of those three would want to come here.

Domenico Tedesco, Gerry Seoane, Ole Solskjaer or Peter Bosz (in that order) would be my choices, all of whom would be realistic targets

Well, if a new manager isn't the answer I suspect you are asking the wrong question regarding how we arrest this slump that seems to just drag on for ever.

Nathan Jones would be an awful appointment, the guy is a grade A tosser. Never stops whinging, he's worse than Klopp in that respect.

If we're getting rid of Ralph, it's got to be someone better. Jones would be a huge downgrade.

An eventual replacement may be a question of  "when"... and not "If"  we continue to lose games in this manner.

Saints have historically been very lenient with their sackings and given managers (and players) a long leash and chances

to improve themselves before finally wielding the axe.

We know the Board have been faithful to the concept of supporting Ralph, but IMHO he has until November 12th to turn things around.

Before you rush away to look at the calendar, that's the last Prem. game before the World Cup break, and it happens to be away at Liverpool.

Another result in line with our visits to Tottenham and City will surely be the last straw, and although few may expect even one point, if we

go down without a real fight... and are still in the drop zone ...then Ralph position will be untenable.

The amount of patience the Ralph in crowd have will forever boggle my mind, the fact that we even have a debate about if he stays or goes should say enough, he’s had far enough time get him the fuck away from this club.

Now that I can post again.

Regarding Eddie Howe back in October.

I will maintain something was going to happen but a couple of things occurred. We won 2 two and drew one which might of made it stupid sacking Ralph plus Newcastle might of approached Eddie instead. One day the truth will come out when he writes his book, who knows but I reckon a few other posters on here heard about the Howe being offered the job at Saints.

As for Jones it was rather random don’t you think when I mentioned it at the start of the season as Luton were at the bottom of the league at the time. Now he’s going great guns again Saints might be interested or perhaps waiting in the wings.

I would hope that if we wanted a certain lower league manager, we would have enough to clout to pay the compo to get one from Luton without having to wait around!
