Bad Wolf Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 I like Mariner. He lets a lot go but he's very consistent about it.
FarehamSaintJames Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 Is anyone at the ground chanting for Ralph to go etc? Equally, is anyone still at the ground at all?

Sheaf Saint Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 And there it is. Another 3 points gifted to a shite team. This can't go on. 3
OttawaSaint Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 Players don't look to fussed really. I guess they will get new clubs and $$$ when we get relegated. 1
Holmes_and_Watson Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 OOoooo. thought AA might put that away. Before I realised it was AA.
obelisk Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 Quite amazing how many times a Saints strike manages to find the 'keeper. 1
Fan The Flames Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 Another shit result, to add to the steaming pile of shit results. 2
trousers Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 (edited) Let's put it this way... If Ralph and Saints parted ways this evening I wouldn't be unhappy... Edited 1 October, 2022 by trousers 3
Ralph Fastenbüttl Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 I really have had enough of this now. Sorry Ralph, it's definitely time. 1

Scoobysaint Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 Get him out. The black box or whatever we use now must have half dozen of possible replacements lined up already. We can’t waste more matches with this joker. 1
saintscottofthenortham Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 Sleepwalking into the Championship. 1
Saint Matty 76 Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 Always been a Ralph fan but you can't lose to three terrible teams in a row like this, on top of the dreadful performances beforehand. Some absolutely awful finishing costs us the most today but it's still another loss. Changed players, changed staff, time to change the manager. Continue coasting like this and we're gone. 1
Saint86 Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 Bad result this one. City away next, confidence is low, 6pointer to Everton potentially and certainly points we needed that have been dropped. Team selection was poor and the first half was appalling on the whole. Defence imploded after we scored.
Disco Stu Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 (edited) I knew I was being too optimistic hoping for a draw 🙁 How much longer do we have to put up with this? Edited 1 October, 2022 by Disco Stu
JRM Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 I do also think there was too much hype over the transfer window signing nippers that had no mens football experience, Everton strengthened without obsessing about sell on value and you can see they knew what they were doing. 1
OttawaSaint Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 We had 8 players tontheir 1 on the equalizer, he won the ball and Cody scored while unmarked. Second goal KWP left McNeil all alone. Basic basic stuff RH out!

Baird of the land Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 Losing to one of the worst teams in the league at Home is pretty unforvigable. Time for a change.
AlexLaw76 Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 That went exactly as I predicted. Just need the cult of Ralph to spout the usual crap. also, we sure as shit have not become more solid at the back. £70m on new players, nothing has changed
Sheaf Saint Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 That's 3 games in a row now where the opposition has been there for the taking and we've just pissed it away through our own ineptitude and defensive frailty. I really hope SR have been working hard in the background to find a replacement for Ralph, because I really think he is a busted flush now. Just no ideas left and not the slightest clue how to manage this team to get points from winnable games. 3
badgerx16 Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 What happened to the team that beat Chelsea ?
BotleySaint Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 You just can't argue with the stats and results in the last 20 or so games. We are not good enough for this league. Too many shortcuts.
Saint_clark Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 We all know what will happen - we'll put in a fantastic performance against City and get a 1-1 draw which will earn him more time.
obelisk Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 Thank goodness that Brentford game was postponed or we'd have lost that too. 1
Bad Wolf Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 Very hard to defend Ralph after that one. If you bottle a lead like that in 2 minutes against Liverpool or City you can JUST ABOUT make peace with it but this is Everton!!!
saintant Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 Tear up his fucking playbook. Get players passing and moving, ball on the deck and play between the lines. Move the ball forward quickly and cut out all the negative backward and sideways passes. Play players in their correct positions. It's not rocket science but he makes it seem soooooo complicated. 3
Sunglasses Ron Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 Only we can get through a tough run of opening fixtures in positive spirits and then get fuck all from a run of “winnable” games. 3

There was a bit before half time when I swear no one was even watching the game and everyone was just sat around chatting like they were at the cricket or something.
Convict Colony Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 2nd game in a row not being able to pass to each other v Villa and bloody Everton. I give up.

DT Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 Don’t fuck about Saints. Announcement tonight please. Get this fraud gone. 2
Dr Who? Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 The gamble did not pay off. It was bold and I have the feeling that was his last throw of the dice. I think it would be a good time to make a change, as I feel we have gone backwards in the last 3 games. It’s a shame the Poch is well out of our reach, but with what we are ‘trying’ to achieve in the way we want to play, our young team and the way Poch likes to encourage academy players, I think he would be a great fix, but cannot see us pulling that one off. Make the change now, but do not replace until after City away. City away can be a free shot, nothing to lose, and then bring in the new manager on the Sunday or Monday. I am very sad that the manager we have had for nearly 4 years cannot move us forward and the last year we have stalled massively.

Lavia got injured, and our genius squad planning never thought we might need more than one midfielder who can actually tackle. Games are won and lost in the midfield - and we don't have one. Letting Romeu leave was monumentally dim. Amateur hour. 4
obelisk Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 That team selection was shit or bust. I think it's bust for Ralph. 1

Why play a kid at left back when Djenepo has done well there and Perraud is ok? He took out 50% of the back four for no reason. 5
DT Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 This manager sucks talent and spirit out of players. 1

The Cat Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 2 shit teams. Everton slightly less shit. The goals were all always going to come from bad mistakes and that's what happened with all 3. We lacked any impetus in the first half, could barely put 3 passes together. Maitland-Niles looked well off the pace which is maybe why he hasn't started yet. Add in an insipid performance from Ward Prowse and it's no surprise we lost because the midfield was so poor.
