If he picks Moi and Diallo over Aribo and AMN and we lose or even play poorly then he has to go. if he or SR lose the fans totally then it won’t be long. I’m no statto but our form the last 30 league games has been just about the worst it can get. Who is SR?
Baird of the land Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 The sort of game where we need to do what others have been doing to us, find a way to win even if it isn’t pretty. Really hoping to see Stu Armstrong start and ideally maitland niles.

Pamplemousse Posted 1 October, 2022 Author Posted 1 October, 2022 At least the others are Sunday 2pm, that's still alright imo

davefizzy14 Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 We need to get back to winning ways today. We need to start on the front foot and get at them. A big performance is needed today. Hoping Maitland-Niles starts today as we need added power and strength in the middle. Aribo and Stuart Armstrong also to come back in. 2-0 to us with a much needed clean sheet - Prowsey and Aribo to score COYR
Turkish Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 One up front with Elyanoussi starting. Dull game and a narrow loss. It feels almost inevitable

Both the West Ham and Newcastle games clash with my son's matches. Fuck the Premier League. 2

There's countless numbers of kids playing on a Sunday each week all over the country who get screwed over by rearranged tv games. It's not like anyone even wants to watch us on tv anyway. 1

Miltonaggro Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 I’m going to go for unbridled optimism today, 2-0 the Saints, Hassenhutl reprieve for a bit. I can’t stand Everton. 1

AlexLaw76 Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 (edited) Interesting line up. At least no Mo Edited 1 October, 2022 by AlexLaw76
DT Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 Southampton XI vs Everton: Bazunu; Walker-Peters, Bella-Kotchap, Caleta-Car, Larios; Ward-Prowse, Maitland-Niles; Aribo, S Armstrong; Mara, Adams #saintsfc Going for it. Good. 3
Saint Fan CaM Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 6 changes to the team sheet with AMN starting. Looks like an attacking team, but very young average age. Salisu on the bench!
nta786 Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 I’m really happy with that line up to be honest, now if it can translate to a win on the pitch and Ralph being reactive should anything not look right then it’s a step in right direction.

washsaint Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 Disappointed not to see Ballard make the bench. Assume Salisu on the bench due to travel/playing both games this last week. Bench does not look strong at all bar Salisu and possibly Edozie. Rest shows the poor quality of the overall squad.
igsey Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 Maitland-Niles is #3?! Very interested to see how this goes, Larios at LB with Perraud and Djenepo on the bench is a big call. Why do we persist with Walcott taking up a bench space?

OttawaSaint Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 Mudt be a record for most double barrelled surnames in a starting lineup in EPL.
Saint Matty 76 Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 I’m happy with that team to be honest. 1

RedArmy Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 Not sure if anyone has mentioned it yet but the lineup is an interesting one today

ErwinK1961 Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 Well most people seem to have got what they want.. No Diallo, Moi, Arma. Let’s see how it goes. 1
obelisk Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 Bit of a gamble but something needed to change after recent performances. We'll have to see whether it pays off. 1
wooley7 Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 Very interesting team. Also I’m very interested to know what shape we will use. Could work a 4-2-3-1, 4-3-3 or 4-2-2-2. Mmmm interesting.
OttawaSaint Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 I can see the plan, play this season with a bunch of double barreled players and then next season sign players called Ward, Peters, Prowse, Car, Niles etc. and we can sneak 15 players on without anyone noticing. Might get a goal or two...
Saint86 Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 (edited) Interesting line up - excited to see how it goes - but then I'm in the group thats enjoying watching a young saints team with potential have a go at teams. Is it a 4-2-2-2 with Mara and Che up top, or 4-2-3-1 with Mara and Aribo on the wings? Sensible to use CC vs Everton's lack of pace with his enhanced ball playing as well. Clear that we've settled on ABK as #1 CB! Edited 1 October, 2022 by Saint86 1
trousers Posted 1 October, 2022 Posted 1 October, 2022 Looks like the sort of team that the collectice Saintsweb football experts would've picked so we've only got ourselves to blame if this goes tits up... 3
