Haha Neil Allen of the Portsmouth News blocked me ten years ago when I fairly questioned him on Pompey’s finances ten years ago and quizzed him as to why the club were more hard done by than the businesses they ripped off and ruined. He didn’t like it. 🤣

We need to essentially do what Newcastle did last January. Pinpoint the areas to strengthen and then go out and get them, limited faffing about. They needed a LB, a CB, a RB, a CM and a ST; they brought in Targett, Burn, Trippier, Guimares and Wood. 

They brought in a spine and a bit of backbone and muscle to that team which was down and out.

Eddie Howe’s man management no doubt helped too as their form had started to improve prior to the January window.

Good that we've finally got some concrete links. Both Orsic and Moffi (if we get them over the line) look like they will improve us in key areas.

Not convinced with the Alcaraz link - not only are there better clubs interested, but the thought of throwing a 20 year old kid, who has barely stepped out of Argentina, into a relegation dogfight, doesnt fill me with much confidence. Its got Gaston Ramirez* vibes to it but worse. At least Gaston had a spell in europe before signing for us.
