Remember this from late last August? I didn't.

Turns out that didnt happen (obviously). He ultimately went on loan to Nottingham Forest instead! (apparently).

Apparently, i say because he didn't play a single minute for Forest and got shipped back to Rennes this winter.

Rennes then shipped him out on loan to Sevilla this January.

Sounds like we dodged a bullet.

It was one of the names thrown around on deadline day in the summer, a few toys out of the pram as it looked as if Forest got him etc. I think we were also linked with Maxence Lacroix at one point that day, not sure how true any of that was - but we got DCC in the end and that's not turned out too badly.

Whilst we can all agree that players should have tracked back and the defending was shite. I think its important to again reiterate that all of that is the blame of the manager. He put a bunch of players (some of them playing their first games together) in a strange formation, and clearly none of them had any damn clue what they were meant to to defensively. Ralph would have accepted the blame for that first half, Jones exclusively blamed the players.

Whilst not disagreeing totally with formations, line-ups etc, part of me thinks that actually maybe they players should be called out if they are not following instructions. This has been part of our issue for far to long, we have fannied around them treading on eggshells, when they need to know they are a major part of our problem.

I have no issue with players being told if they are not following instruction, I didnt mind NJ bollocking Moussa the other day for just this, id rather that than Ralph standing there looking fucking gormless and lost like he did almost every game for the previous 12 months.

Also, Im not so sure I really heard Ralph shoulder much or any of the blame for our lame performances, this whole Ralph thing, with you and others, is getting weirder by the day - he isnt here for a reason. He had 4 years, his team. Jones has had a couple of handfuls of games - for me he rightly will be given a chance, and I agree with Nick saying we need to drop all this old shite now and get behind NJ and the team…

Total madness in my opinion. You can tell it's scatter-gun as they've tried to get rid of O-Brian and Toffolo (i think at least one went), and they were trying hard to get rid of Dennis as well as well as Bade lasting for 6 months. No real thought in any of those transfers.

Apparently Chelsea are so scattergun in their approach to the transfer window they forgot tto buy a proven striker !

There was a Chelsea fan on one of the phone in's who said, and I kid you not, that Potter had been let down by the boards lack of investment. Worded badly but I think he meant lack of investment in a striker or something, but that's not through a lack of investment it's just piss poor scattergun squad planning.

They've spent £600m in 4/5 months, in my opinion they should be banned from any forthcoming transfer windows and made to work with that ridiculously expensive bunch of players they've assembled, if they've spent £600m and still have holes in the squad then that's on them and they should suffer because of it. It just makes me lose faith in football that Chelsea fans are still not satisfied and wanted them to spend more.

So,

Big Paul does not look like scoring

Sully can't be arsed and is played out of position

Bree is out

Alcaraz is a sub

Orsic has gone missing

another 9/10 window, yes?

Any chance you could post this "look how clever I am" observation after every poor result? Thanks ;)

(Over to you for the 'suppressed laugh' gif...)
