We offered almost nothing as an attacking force that half, Aribo aside.  Moi working hard but absolutely zero threat as an attacking force and Diallo is far too lightweight for this league.  Hopefully both pulled at half time and bring Mara on to link the forward play and MN to add some solidity.

It's alright, we play better when we're behind.

Plus we never win up there in the league!

Bazunu is 20 years old, get off his back. He's going to make mistakes. He's learning every game at this level.

I thought on balance, Wolves looked more likely, with Saints looking to contain them, and then break. Mo nearly put someone through for us, just for them to break for their goal. Was it KWP who was supposed to be back covering for that?

I thought at first Bazunu could hav edone better, but the scorer didn;t hit it cleanly and it chipped past him.

We'll have to change our gameplan eventually in the second half. But we'll see how the first bit of ti goes as we didn;t look out of it by any means.

Commentator reckons the Wolves fans were wondering if the goal would ever come. Makes it sound like they've been all over us, which they totally haven't.

Poor goal to concede though. Podence completely in the open and I don't know what Bazunu was thinking.

We're not out of this by any means. The fact that all the points we've got so far have been gained after being behind should give cause for optimism.

Swap Diallo for AMN at HT I reckon. He's not doing well and now he's on a yellow that he should never have been given. Bit of s stretch to say it was even a foul, let alone worth a booking.

I know he's going to make more mistakes than the average keeper because he's young.

That's why I wanted us to sign an experienced keeper.

seems to be a weakness teams have spotted whereby the CBs are left exposed after the FBs push forward. No cover in place

This has been the way since we changed formations but previously we had Lavia who is twice as good as Diallo at breaking the play and not fouling before those passes come in

He really hasn't. He's broken up the Wolves play several times.

He really hasn’t, set pieces been awful, offered nothing on the ball, game has passed him by.

Yeah let’s sign a keeper that doesn’t let in goals. Well done

Excellent, now they've got their goal we can start playing! (based on previous evidence)

It’s nice to think we still have a chance when falling behind…**

Not sure Bazanu can do much. Is he supposed to guess that Podence is going to mishit it completely.

He could stay on his feet and react rather than gamble as if he's trying to save a penalty. If he stays on his feet till Podence shoots then it goes safely into his hands.

What a skank goal completely undeserved

How?

Never understood this how one team being clinical and another team taking the one chance they get is somehow 'undeserved'. The better team is the one who scores the most goals.

We all know what happens next. Wolves sitting back and rolling about. Normally I'd dread watching this coming half but this season I fancy us to add to our points won from losing positions stat. COYS

Fucking cocks having a go at Bazunu

You're right, we should be praising him for diving out of the way leaving the majority of his goal exposed and letting a goal slowly trickle in.

Need to bring on AMN to add much needed power in midfield that has been lost through injury to Lavia. Surprised he didn't start for this reason although I accept that he's hardly trained with the squad.

Generally playing pretty well against a dour, but well structured Wolves side. Podence and Neto are little shits and spent most of the half rolling around.

Just still looking for a little bit more from most of our attacking players. Moi I still don't get. If he's gonna be slow, he needs to fast in the brain like Tadic was. But he isn't, he slows things down. I feel a bit for Djenepo. Put his hand up to play left back when he definitely not a natural defender. Makes sense to lose that position for Perraud now he is fit, but how frustrating must it be for him to now be sitting on the bench whilst Moi continues to put in mediocre to poor performances every game.

This. Looking at the replay from behind the goal, I don't think Bazunu did much wrong. If the striker had connected with the ball properly (as any keeper will naturally assume he will) then we'd all be talking about an excellent save going into half time.

Elyounoussi really is terrible when we're on the ball.

I feel a bit sorry for Diallo as the foul he got booked for wasn't a foul but he is racking them up.

If he stays on his feet then he can’t get down quick enough if the striker hits hard and low as he was attempting to. Jeezus what do you guys expect from our players.

Equally if he stays on his feet and podence hits it properly it is a goal & people will criticise him for standing still. He's gambling because he's been put in a horrible position.

Wolves are the shittiest side that consistently beat us.

Like groundhog day playing them.

Hardly concede any goals Wolves, and we don't look like scoring

Let's go again in the second half. Just a jammy goal that they have scored just before the break. Let's turn it around COYR :)

Because he completely mishit it.

A minute later JWP hit a clean shot that took a deflection and could have gone in but spun safely into the keepers hands.

One team got lucky, the other didn't.

You lot make me laugh. Any other keeper in the world let's that goal in you'd be slating them. McCarthy or Forster and you'd have the noose out ready for a lynching.

Just because he's a City wonder boy doesn't mean he should be immune to criticism.

I thought she was alluding to them having only scored 2 goals all season. It's what she's been on about all game, their lack of goals from early crosses. Bazunu did nowt wrong. Spread himself and covered the near post. The scoring git hit it into the turf and it bounced over him, if he'd hit it cleanly could well have been saved.

Why so many empty seats ? We usually sell out for this .

I think 💰 people have to pick and choose games now. I don’t go to many but could not afford this too often with the price of living and fuel ️

He’s not. He’s a Saint. Let’s get behind him and the team.
