4 wins in a row now! 😃 Seriously we seem to have clicked but it's dependant on the likes of Lavia being fit or not.

Wolves don't score many but they're a good team although I think I predicted them to struggle pending transfers but it looks as if they're bringing in a striker so they should be fine. A draw would be a good result, a win would be great.

Don't we have a stat that we've never hit 4 wins in a row in the Prem? Or is it 5?

Not sure but I'm pretty sure we've only won 3 league games in a row once since the tail end of the Koeman last season when he did it. We often come close but game 3 is drawn. I don't think we've won 4 in a row for a very long time.

So, just trying to get my head around who’s available after all that, I’m going to have a stab at something like:

Bazunu

KWP          Salisu       ABK       Perraud

AMN      Diallo

Aribo      JWP    A. Arm.

Adams

Subs: McC, DCC, Djenepo, Lyanco, Stu, Edozie, Mara, Moi, Ballard

That looks pretty tasty TBF. Vastly stronger bench. Loads of interesting possibilities for RH.

So many acronyms in our side now, that for the life of me I cant remember who TBF is or where we got him.

In 2003 James Beattie and Fabrice Fernandes entered a civil partnership and adopted an infant son, Tim. He’s just graduated through the academy.

It’s hard to predict the starting line up atm, as Ralph seems to be (cleverly imo) exploiting the 5 subs rule to play more of a rugby style game, with certain players like Aribo held back to make an impact later in the game. Will depend on how the lads who put a shift in on Tuesday are feeling, but wouldn’t be surprised to see Stu and Aribo start, and probably AMN comes in for Lavia.

Doubt Ralph will drop Moi - other than that this will probably be the line up tomorrow.

Moi shouldn't  be dropped after Tuesday's performance.

Think too early for AMN so think JWP and Diallo in the two

Not sure how AMN or any of those signed yesterday, will start.

same team as the last game, maybe Stu or Aribo in for Lavia. Big game for who ever is in the middle of the park, as they are very strong there.

I don't think any of the new signings will start tomorrow. I think the 2 CM's will be Diallo and JWP and Aribo will come in to play in the "10", of that's the right term for the central player of the 3 that are playing just behind Adams. I think some of the new signings will be on the bench and may get on the pitch at some point in the 2nd half.

Anyone know how far their ground is from the train station, and are there any decent saints pubs on the way?

Just looked it up, and it is only a 15 minute walk from the station.  So just wondering what pub will be good for away fans please

WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS SATURDAY AFTERNOON 3PM KICK OFF, NEW OPENING HOURS AT THE STARTING GATE,BIRCHES BARN ROAD, PENN FIELDS.
Hi Folks

Saturday 3rd September when the Wolves host Southampton at Molineux in the Premier League, The Starting Gate will be opening 2 hours earlier at 12pm for all Wolves Saturday 3pm home kick offs. This gives fans plenty of time to call in and relax with a couple of our superb Real Ales, Ciders & Lagers which you can soak up with Cobs, Pork Pies, Scotch Eggs and all the usual bar snacks, crisps, scratchings etc.
The Starting Gate is an Independent family run, free house dedicated to the quality of the drinks supplied in our friendly laid back atmosphere and we are looking forward to welcoming both home and away supporters.
We are situated 1.5 miles from Molineux, around a 7 minute taxi journey, there is also a regular bus route from just outside the bar which runs around every 15 minutes and is roughly a 10 minute ride to the town centre and a 10 minute walk to the ground. For the really healthy ones among you I'm told 1.5 miles is roughly 30 minutes to walk (though that's not in my world ). For away supporters who find it difficult to get in a city centre pub, courtesy of West Midlands Police policy, hop in a taxi, just over a fiver and come and see us.

So with Lavia out of 6 weeks, do we bring AMN straight into the starting line up? It’s a shame that DCC isn’t going to be eligible for this game as Ralph said it looks like we signed him too late to register for this match.

I know many think now was the ‘right time’ to sell Romeu, but with Lavia out for ‘minimum 6 weeks’, I’m starting to think January would have actually been the right time!

Wolves have no wins in their first 5 games, after us they play Liverpool and Man City  , from what I've seen they have played well in some games but they need to win this one really as pressure will mount.

Only 2 goals so far this season,  like last season a lot of their games tend to be low scoring, need to keep it tight and defend well try to nick it. Lavia will be a big miss with no Romeu either I think Wolves will win the midfield battle.

Subs: McCarthy, Lyanco, Larios, Djenepo, AMN, Stu, Edozie, Mara, Ballard.

Think we should stick with the same front 3 that did so well against Chelsea but Edozie and Mara are great options from the bench.

Was pretty 50/50 over Diallo or AMN in midfield.

We won the last 4 games of the 2015/16 season:

Villa A 4-2

Man City H 4-2

Spurs A 2-1

Palace H 4-1

What a great season that was.

In the 2014/15 season, we won 8 games out of 9:

West Ham A 3-1

Newcastle H 4-0

Swansea A 1-0

QPR H 2-1

Spurs A 0-1

Sunderland H 8-0

Stoke H 1-0

Hull A 1-0

Leicester H 2-0

In 2000/01 we won 5 Premier League games in a row, without conceding a goal:

Leicester H 1-0

Bradford City U 2-0

Middlesbrough A 1-0

Man City A 1-0

Everton H 1-0

Molineux must be one of the few away grounds where we've scored 6 goals twice and, of course, Wolves are the only team we've scored 9 against in a league game. I was lucky enough to be at 2 of those games but I'm sure there must be a few diehards on here who were at all 3.

Assume Aribo will come in for Lavia, with Maitland-Niles potentially in the impact sub role.

Pretty happy with notion of a bench of Mccarthy, Lyanco, Maitland-Niles, S Armstrong, Djenepo, Edozie, Mara, Larios, Redmond

Moi Che AA

I think he'll probably favour Stuey if we play some variation on 433

I think, a bit like us before we picked up some points, they actually haven't won in something like 12 stretching back to last season. They really fell away last year after looking like they might even challenge top 4 but at least top 6.

They have not particularly had that tough games either Bournemouth, Newcastle, Leeds and Fulham, only really Spurs away is a tough one.

I think Jimenez is on a long goal drought, but I feel he was struggling for goals last time we played them and he scored after Bednerak tried to wrestle on the halfway line and failed letting him run clear.

They do have their new striker but seeing as he only joined earlier this week he might not start.

That’s the team I think Ralph will pick as well with S Armstrong and JWP alternating between midfield and the central 10 position.

I reckon the priority will be a clean sheet and looks a good opportunity to get one. Will probably shape up to be more counter attack than pressing.

I think 1-1, which would be decent point. Would be ecstatic if we could nick a sneaky 0-1 but can only see Ward Prowse free kick for our goal. Or Che getting on the end of one. Fingers crossed

Wouldn’t be surprised to see AMN start. He is needed without Lavia or Romeu and hopefully adaptable enough to be match ready (previous loans and adapting to different managers at arsenal). Would be happier to see him in the team today than not.

On moi, ralph seems to give players a shot at the start of the season. Last season it was moussa who started the first lot of games, did ok at best, then disappeared after ralph had felt he had given him a good go. Same could be for moi this season.

also agree on ralph using 5 subs like rugby teams to keep intensity high. Maybe he sees Aribo like that as a perfect player to come on against tired legs and tired minds and commit players in the box.

RH noted that young players may need some rest following Lavia's injury.... wondering if ABK could be benched for Lyanco.

Stu in for Lavia would be my only change from last Tuesday.

The 4x late transfer window guys seem to have something about them that complement our team.

DCC: International experience (world cup finalist after all), calmness and physicality

AMN: PL know-how, positional flexibility

Sam: speed, directness, a bit of height to the forward line up and hopefully goals

Juan: natural and probably cultured left footer,  Jordi Alba like?

looking forward to today's game COYS

I agree with this. I think Ralph will go with this and then bring on the likes of AMN, Moussa, Mara and Moi on in the second half. 2-0 to us with Aribo and Adam Armstrong scoring - COYR :)

He might rest the younger lads but ABK has top flight seasons under his belt.

A good thing now is that the players seem to have a better attitude towards doing well.

Hopefully Che and A. Armstrong continue their solid start to the season.

Can’t see anything but a loss here.

Bogey team

Opposition on lengthy winless run

Opposition striker on a drought

Bit of a positivity bubble being built, prime for popping

Adama Traore has his one game a season where he can actually finish

Thought the aim of refreshing the team this summer was to ensure the past didn't repeat itself...
at least a draw for our "new look" team?

A bit surprising if that’s the case with Perraud, I thought he had a really good game against Chelsea and gave the left side some real balance.

Stu A for Lavia seems realistic with Diallo and JWP holding behind.

Perraud put a shift in v Chelsea after injury probably being protected. Wouldn't be surprised to see the new Lb come on today depending on how we are getting on.

Not sure about Diallo, still blows to hot and cold for me.
