Thedelldays Posted 25 January, 2009 Posted 25 January, 2009 Cant remember the last time a single player rescued or dominated his own team as much as gerrard does with a club the size of liverpool... I would say cantona but how many times will he drag liverool through games...
Thedelldays Posted 25 January, 2009 Author Posted 25 January, 2009 MLT,perhaps???:smt102 what part of "the size of liverpool" did you not read...? I know fans took our relegation hard but we were never as big as liverpool
Chorlton Posted 25 January, 2009 Posted 25 January, 2009 Liverpool would be bottom half without Gerrard Without Gerrard & Torres Liverpool would be Middlesbrough.
Saint Martini Posted 25 January, 2009 Posted 25 January, 2009 Without Gerrard & Torres Liverpool would be Middlesbrough. Nah, they'd be Everton.
Ponty Posted 25 January, 2009 Posted 25 January, 2009 Zola at Chelsea was fairly influential in their successes of the time.
Bristol Saint Posted 25 January, 2009 Posted 25 January, 2009 Without Gerrard & Torres Liverpool would be Middlesbrough. Can't agree: Mascherano - Argentina captain and widely considered to be the best holding midfielder in the world. Alonso - one of the most creative players in the Premiership and an ability to pick out a pass better than anyone else in the league. Keane - regardless of recent form, is still a class striker. Carragher - probably the most consistent English defender of the last five years, who sadly was continually overlooked for England. Reina - winner of the last three Premiership Golden Gloves awards and only kept out of the Spanish team because Casillas is one of the top two goalkeepers of this generation. Dirk Kuyt - the best defensive midfielder playing up front in the Premiership. Fact.
Thedelldays Posted 25 January, 2009 Author Posted 25 January, 2009 mascherano - will give you, superb alonso - agree, but will leave in the summer I reckon...lucky for liverpool he is still there Keane - yes, but not at liverpool so no odds reina - agree kuyt - shyte
Hopkins Posted 25 January, 2009 Posted 25 January, 2009 Carragher - probably the most consistent English defender of the last five years, who sadly was continually overlooked for England. Wrong. **** poor. Nowhere near England quality hence the reason he hardly played for them. Great last ditch tackler because his posistioning ****ing stenches.

Arizona Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 Given at Newcastle would get my vote. I know the Geordies aren't as big as they'd like to think, but a big club none-the-less and should comfortably be in the top half if they only had a bit of stability.
saint_bert Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 Id have to say Maradonna at Napoli or for Argentina. He basiclly won the world cup for Argentina on his own. Even if he did cheat lol
saint boggy Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 what part of "the size of liverpool" did you not read...? I know fans took our relegation hard but we were never as big as liverpool um, i think i skipped the words 'Liverpool' and 'size'.........:smt053 :prayer:

Ruffo Posted 4 February, 2009 Posted 4 February, 2009 Henry used to have a habit of scoring vital goals for Arsenal. He only performed with Plasma (Viera)
