Would personally stick away from the Brewhouse and the Eagle. Tourist town. Am a fan of the Cambridge Blue and I expect most people here would be too.

Also rate the Geldart, the Blue Moon and Devonshire Arms. Blue Moon has the widest beer selection of the 3 and is probably my favourite of them. If you can get out towards the royal standard as well, it has great Belgian beers on tap. Cambridge is very blessed with good pubs, so definitely stay away from spoons!

Yeah, good call on  The Geldart. It's just off Mill Road and close to the Devonshire Arms.  And yes that's certainly where you'd hear Irish music. Anyway, as you say, there are loads of decent pubs.  Hope you get a chance to sample some.

Like to see Simeu involved, although I wasn’t overly impressed when I saw him last season for Carlisle he was by all accounts very good for most of the season so good to see him tested at league one level. Also hope Ballard gets some time. Hopefully we field a strongish team around them, giving Perrard, Romeu, Redmond some time the later of its only a chance to put himself in the shop window with a good performance. Should be a good drink up for those there, Cambridge is a decent city with some good bars.

I guess no streams?  Will check their iFollow site at kick off, but think that may be for league games only

Saintsplayer confirmed they won’t be showing it. Just the Bolton/ Villa and Fleetwood/Everton games

Very strong line up. Would rather see Simeu start over Bednarek, actually I’d rather a wheelie bin started ahead of Bednarek.

No Redmond, Walcott or Stephens. Wonder if this is out of favour or out of the club or unfit.

Surprised at Adams starting but I suppose that’s also a good sign otherwise they’d have been a mass meltdown if he wasn’t in the squad. 😅

Adams only played for 35 mins on Saturday and he'll probably be subbed at around 60 mins tonight for Mara I would have thought to keep him fresh for the Man U and Chelsea games coming up in quick succession, depending upon how things are going tonight.

Are 5 subs allowed tonight?

I believe so

As we can’t find a stream tonight then I’m hoping some of you will update us on Ramos tonight.

If a deal is in place then surely he’s going to be waving farewell to the fans?

Typical Sky it's a League Cup night and they go on about last night Man U match even though they have talked about it for the last 21 hours.

I'd like to see us go out and press aggressively for the first half and see if we can get a few goals. Then give some more of the youngsters a go.

And so inane. Clinton Morrison “Liverpool are too good not to turn it around”

Rule 8.1 of the competition’s guidelines says: “In all Competition Matches, each Club is permitted to name up to nine substitutes on the Team Sheet, of whom not more than five may take part in the Competition Match. Each Club is only permitted a maximum of three opportunities to make substitutions during the Competition Match. Clubs may make substitutions at half time and any substitutions made will not count towards the maximum of three opportunities. A Club may make more than one substitution at each of its three opportunities.”

Cambridge will fancy this so we need to make sure we match their effort, commitment and running. Do that and our superior technique should be enough to secure the win.

Anyone else having problems with Saints Player?

Apparently its not on Saints Player, which is not a surprise if there are no streams.  The only commentary other than Sky Sports News is on the SFC website, although at the moment all I get is an error (probably because it's not started yet).
