Ah, so it's not an individual transfer thread for a player who's on the brink of signing, but an excuse for the resident pedant to post memes and gifs. I'm sure the main thread could have handled it but we must be in muppet show territory now.

If we're resorting to shitposting I think we need more work on some sweet Haribo/Aribo puns, I'm disappointed at the relative lack of them ever since he was linked to us a couple of years ago.

Where is this "half decent rumour"? Just listed with loads of other clubs as a maybe they're interested. Pretty obvious this morning there was nothing in this whatsoever.

There was a bloke who struck me as rather pedantic looking, standing outside the stadium, holding what appeared to be, a 24 hour vigil.  He was holding a massive banner which read "PLEEEEEASE SIGN JAMES GARNER NOW. IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT THAT YOU GET THIS TRANSACTION COMPLETED FORTHWITH". 

I sounded my horn in support. He shouted back at me that it is "actually unlawful to sound ones horn after the hours of darkness unless it is in the case of an emergency"

I don't think it was MLG though......he'd spelt "PLEASE" incorrectly.

I dont understand why MLG gets such a tough time on here. There are many who have posted over the years who are irritating but they still add to this forum. Sadly many took the insults badly and have left. Hence the forum gets weaker each year.

My take is that all on here have Saints best interests at heart and are decent people. It is easy to pick on one poster, then many join the gang as they find it amusing. Not realising that it is upsetting the poster.

I like his posting and think he deals (mostly) in facts, which gets lost on the ridiculous emotion of football.  However, he brings some of the light-hearted attention on himself when he routinely hijacks threads and establishes himself as the 'standard-bearer'.  When he gets it wrong.......
