Will the hosepipe ban affect Saints?

Does the hosepipe ban particularly affect Saints? For example, can the pitch still be watered or is the an exemption for that sort of thing? Likewise at Staplewood?

Not at the moment, sporting facilities are exempt.

Staplewood is still using sprinklers.

Lyanco is a big  horticulturist,   I think the hose pipe ban might be the death knell for his   chrysanthemums.  

He might need a few weeks compassionate leave as he mourns.

Total disgrace you can water sports pitches with drinking water , do they capture rainwater etc ? In New Zealand a few years ago they had big signs up saying the were using 3rd stage sewage to water the golf course 🙂 . In Oz they had large water features to store water for the course.

One would hope so but I doubt it. Although, given that it hasn’t rained for about 3 months, it perhaps wouldn’t be too full right now…

The water feature was usually along the side of the fairways or behind the green which lost me alot of balls 😃 The kangaroos hopping across the course were also part of local rules if you hit one !
