jawillwill Posted 12 August, 2022 Share Posted 12 August, 2022 Does the hosepipe ban particularly affect Saints? For example, can the pitch still be watered or is the an exemption for that sort of thing? Likewise at Staplewood?
SNSUN Posted 12 August, 2022 Share Posted 12 August, 2022 Would 30,000 pissed up football fans urinating on it do the same job? 😋
Bob76 Posted 12 August, 2022 Share Posted 12 August, 2022 Not at the moment, sporting facilities are exempt.

Hatch Posted 12 August, 2022 Share Posted 12 August, 2022 Lyanco is a big horticulturist, I think the hose pipe ban might be the death knell for his chrysanthemums. He might need a few weeks compassionate leave as he mourns. So yes , it will.
East Kent Saint Posted 12 August, 2022 Share Posted 12 August, 2022 Total disgrace you can water sports pitches with drinking water , do they capture rainwater etc ? In New Zealand a few years ago they had big signs up saying the were using 3rd stage sewage to water the golf course 🙂 . In Oz they had large water features to store water for the course. jawillwill Posted 12 August, 2022 Author Share Posted 12 August, 2022 If you water the pitch with sewage, they'd all get polio now.

One would hope so but I doubt it. Although, given that it hasn’t rained for about 3 months, it perhaps wouldn’t be too full right now…
East Kent Saint Posted 12 August, 2022 Share Posted 12 August, 2022 Our local golf club invested in large storage tanks to fill up in times of plenty .

The water feature was usually along the side of the fairways or behind the green which lost me alot of balls 😃 The kangaroos hopping across the course were also part of local rules if you hit one ! Just popped back on to see if anyone else had made an obvious gag about there already been too much shit on the pitch on matchdays yet?
OttawaSaint Posted 12 August, 2022 Share Posted 12 August, 2022 Hope not, someone needs to take a rubber hose to Ralph and the team for the last 14 performances.
