stevegrant Posted 10 August, 2022 Share Posted 10 August, 2022 We have a copy of Francis Benali's brand new autobiography to give away. Very simple entry requirements, simply follow SaintsWeb on Twitter and retweet this tweet: Entries must be received by 10pm BST on Tuesday 16th August and one lucky winner will be drawn at random. Please note that we can only ship to the UK on this occasion. Francis Benali: Football Man to Iron Fran is also available in all good bookshops, and probably some mediocre ones as well. Holmes_and_Watson Posted 10 August, 2022 Share Posted 10 August, 2022 Like SITS I just read this a couple of weeks ago. An easy read covering both Saints and his achievements since.
skintsaint Posted 11 August, 2022 Share Posted 11 August, 2022 Was keen but then saw I had to sign up to one of the most toxic social media platforms going! 😪 Good luck to those who enter.

I wonder if it will be in the shop run by the tattooed freak with the bell.

Damn - I was just round the corner from there yesterday afternoon, I could have gone in and asked whilst trying not to smirk. That said, despite being an object of all our mirth he does run that shop with the same passion he supports his team - so I think I would be heading out the door faster than I went in: as I wouldn’t have been the first “comedian”

I don’t think he turns up to work wearing a silly hat, having mooned through the streets of Petersfield whilst ringing his bell! 😜
waterlooville saint Posted 16 August, 2022 Share Posted 16 August, 2022 In the draw 😀 I read it recently, it's an easy read and gives some really interesting insights - well worth a read.
kwsaint Posted 18 February, 2023 Share Posted 18 February, 2023 Just finished reading this. Really enjoyed it. As someone who sadly wasn’t old enough to witness Franny playing, it was incredibly enlightening. His experience of Cortese, all his fundraising and the work he has done since playing was equally, if not more, fascinating. A truly top bloke. A truly top bloke. Best to have avoided this place during that time, there were far too many wallies on here who threw Franny under the bus in favour of Cortese through what was his abysmal worst behaviour.
