4-0 West Ham!

Bournemouth on the beach!

Unfortunately, the tide will be back in for them after this result so you can almost guarantee they will put in an effort against us.

If we could have hung on against Arsenal. I think beating Bournemouth,Fulham & Forest would have kept us up. Unlikely to happen,,but about as unlikely as being 3-1 up to the league leaders away after 88 minutes.

Maybe they are on the beach? That’s how I recall we picked up a lot of our points during the great escape seasons. This is more about our apprentice managers’ decisions imo

I see Man Utd won the 2nd/3rd place FA Cup play off today. Pretty drab game but, as usual, Utd got the rub of the green even though Brighton were marginally the better side.

Watching Luton v Boro. Luton have been given a really soft penalty. I am not looking forward to the refereeing in the Championship next season if this is anything to go on - although the ref is Graham Scott who referees in the Premier League.

Middlesborough are undeservedly losing and on this performance Caddick's team play a very nice style of football. CHDAJFU?

That was such a poor decision, no matter how many times you replay that's a dive.

Luton looked exactly what they were - lots of effort, passion, but zero quality. I think what they're doing at the moment is the perfect level for them, compete in the top end of the Champ, win games, dream etc. But if they did ever get promoted to the PL then they would be totally and utterly destroyed, it would be painful to watch.

“Trip or attempt to trip”

He stumbled because he was trying to avoid the keeper. A penalty is a reasonable decision.

I'm praying that Leeds and Leicester both lose.

well a draw obviously but looking at the remaining fixtures a Leicester win would be slightly better ..............not that it matters to us really.

I agree, definitely looking for a Leicester win tonight. Means we can cheer them on this weekend at home to Everton as well.

Also agree we're probably wasting our team thinking about it!

Personally I think Leeds are in a much worse position than Leicester. Realistically, if we are going to stay up, it needs to be Forest, Everton and Leeds. Leicester have enough 'easy' games to get out of it.

Looks like Oriel Romeu is well on the way to helping Girona to a famous victory against Real Madrid.

Him and Gazziniga. Mad that Castellanos scored all 4 goals for them.

Looks like Ipswich and Plymouth away in the Championship

Remarkable from Plymouth this season to be fair

McKenna doing a great job at Ipswich.

I don't really see this idea that Leicester have an easier run in than Leeds.

What we thinking tonight?

I’m thinking that’s a third of the remainder of our league, depressing that we are quite a bit shitter than all these teams, and all the other thirteen teams as well.

Away to Plymouth on a Friday night live on Sky to start the season for us I reckon!

And I bet they'll bill it as a South Coast 'Derby' (despite us being closer to Birmingham).

The ideal draw happened. Wish i was convinced Saints could take advantage.

Yeah, I didn’t get why anyone would want Leicester to get 3 points. They’ve got Everton up next, I hope that’s a draw as well.

yep.. it's in our interest that neither Leeds nor Leicester pull away. It is still a 5 team race.

Better that only 2 points got awarded from that match, and not 3.

just seen the Leicester Leeds result

Surely you could post that following any of the three possible results. Not sure how a draw between them is any better for us.

We need a bare minimum of 3 wins from 6 games and can only afford to maybe lose one more match all season. We're not going to do it.

A point or two for Leeds or Leicester either way feels irrelevant.

With our form we should be absolutely dead and buried. However the other teams seem determined to keep us hanging on.

I can't see us beating even Bournemouth or Forest, let alone Fulham, Newcastle, Brighton, and Liverpool. It will be draws and narrow defeats.

If course if they do somehow beat Bournemouth, then Saints are two points from safety again. Then the whole ghastly process of hope and disappointment will start again.

Don't let any hope creep in. We're fucking inept. Nae chance we stay up.

Yeah I know. I found myself saying last night "if we win Thursday...." then thought, no, the bastards are dragging you back in only to shit on you again !

It’s just struck me, if we can pull our finger out of our arse, Liverpool could contribute to relegation of Everton on the last game of the season….

Or Bournemouth contribute to ours as they play Everton on that day.

For us to have any chance (and I am in the no hope category already) we would need to beat Bournemouth and for them to them beat both Leeds and Everton in their remaining fixtures - that makes them safe. So we'd need to get ahead of 3 of these 4.....

Leeds (hopefully) may not get another point - Bournemouth (A), City (A), Newcastle (H), West Ham(A), Spurs (H) - we'd need a 6 point gain (GD would probably also swing in our favour with those results)

Leicester  - Everton(H) , Fulham(A), Liverpool(H), Newcastle(A), West Ham(H) - we'd need at least a 7 point gain to negate GD and a draw at Everton plus whatever else they pick up

Everton - Newcastle(H), Leicester(A), Brighton(A), City(H), Wolves(A), Bournemouth (H) - at least a 5 point gain needed, GD may take care of itself if that happens - assumes a draw at Leicester, but can't see them losing all the others - Bournemouth especially will literally be on the beach.

Forest - Brighton(H), Brentford(A), us (H), Chelsea(H), Arsenal(A), Palace(A) - if we beat them, then maybe they would pick up 3 or 4 points.

There's always a strange few results at this stage of the season, but I think the escape total will be relatively low. And also out of our reach as I just can't see us putting the run together that would take advantage of the small chance of all those results going in our favour. It's the hope that kills you.....
