Saint NL Posted 20 October, 2022 Posted 20 October, 2022 Bednarek taken off at half time for villa. 1

saintant Posted 20 October, 2022 Posted 20 October, 2022 Cash getting karma for the penalty he got against Bertrand - just given away an identical one. Very impressed with Fulham tonight - they won't be going down.

Forest aside all the teams have shown something and a few that were expected to struggle have already got a nice buffer to the bottom 3. Clear we will be right down there so need Forest to continue to struggle and quality wise after them its probably between Bournemouth, Saints, Wolves, Leeds and Everton you would think. 1
FarehamSaintJames Posted 20 October, 2022 Posted 20 October, 2022 Bednarek - lol Vestergaard on the bench for Leicester tonight. 1

Holmes_and_Watson Posted 20 October, 2022 Posted 20 October, 2022 A commentator in the last few minutes of the Villa game, said that in football, people want results yesterday and managers just don't get the time. Clearly not thinking of us, after our run of results. I think Brighton's approach with Potter has given some managers a longer shelf life.

JRM Posted 20 October, 2022 Posted 20 October, 2022 Leeds fans also singing for their manager to go, they looked really poor tonight at Leicester, based on that game I'd say Leeds the more likely of the two to be in a relegation battle this season

Jeremy Corbyn Posted 20 October, 2022 Posted 20 October, 2022 As bad as we seem to be, we're in good company. So many teams in trouble.
HarvSFC Posted 20 October, 2022 Posted 20 October, 2022 Wolves need a goal scorer with only 5 goals in 11 games to their name. Raul Jimenez looks to be riddled by his injury and then they spent big on attackers in Guedes and Kalajdzic in the summer, while you'd imagine Costa's picking up a nice wage. So, you wouldn't think they'd have too much to play with in January. They've also committed to another Terry Connor situation, so you'd like to think they're going to struggle from this point forward. Forest didn't have a plan in the summer, got overly excited by the names and lights of the Premier League and it's now showing. One of those sides who many say won the transfer market, but perform terribly when it counts. 1 win in 11 and 3 points adrift, got to get their act together soon. Leicester, score plenty of goals, the most in the bottom 10, but can't defend. You'd imagine if they get a competent goalkeeper in the winter window then they'll move to a comfortable mid-table position. Aston Villa, have big issues even without Gerrard. A lot of money spent on dross/unmotivated players. Coutinho and Ings aren't motivated by football anymore, hence why they ended up at Villa Park in the first place. Watkins and Mings are poor Premier League footballers, Buendia, Bailley and Traore have all flopped and Martinez and McGinn are having bad season's. Wonder if they can do any better in the manager hunt. Leeds, also missed out on Gakpo and are also now struggling for goals, even with Bamford back. They can't rely on their defence either, as seen in previous seasons. We'll hopefully and probably be competing in January with them for an attacker, though. Everton, poor manager, who for whatever reason has full backing from the deluded over there and long may it continue. Also struggling for goals with two less than us, but you'd imagine Pickford and their defence could grind out the required results. Bournemouth, still persisting with Solanke, should probably go down. So, I reckon we've got to do better than three of these and so far after 11 games we're doing better than 6 of them, so it's not all bad! 3

LiberalCommunist Posted 22 October, 2022 Posted 22 October, 2022 Forest getting some joy thus far. Not an easy half hour for Liverpool.
Gingeletiss Posted 22 October, 2022 Posted 22 October, 2022 Have to say, Forest are playing well, I’d be happy to lose if we were that adventurous.

Toussaint Posted 22 October, 2022 Posted 22 October, 2022 If they hold out I makes the Bournemouth victory even more significant
OttawaSaint Posted 22 October, 2022 Posted 22 October, 2022 Interesting what can happen when you play positively rather than lubing up for the big boys... 1
DT Posted 22 October, 2022 Posted 22 October, 2022 Liverpool look pretty listless though. Cooper showing what a good manager he is again ( including to some of the mongs on here)
OttawaSaint Posted 22 October, 2022 Posted 22 October, 2022 Salah has been utterly putrid since he signed the big contract. He doesn't have unselfish Mane to help him.

Plus they have targets and runners when they hoof it up to clear their lines

Jimmy_D Posted 22 October, 2022 Posted 22 October, 2022 League looking ridiculously tight this season, 8 points between 7th and 20th.
SNSUN Posted 22 October, 2022 Posted 22 October, 2022 Wow kudos to Forest. Especially against Liverpool. Shows a well organised defence can do wonders. Shame as Forest are our rivals but this is definitely a tough league this season. 1
