As said a few pages back, Pompey claim to win the league and that they'll be playing us in the next after two games with each passing season and by the end they get nowhere near. Plymouth are this year's runaway side.

We're bad, but we're not losing 3-0 away to Charlton on Sky in League One bad.

4 of their players on the pitch tonight started against our B team last week and two more were unused subs, so at least they got their big day out for the season.

How long do we give Lallana before he limps off? 37 mins

I would still take him over Stu Armstrong, Djenepo, Elyounoussi, even Aribo, etc.

Still a very underrated player in his movement and vision.

30 minutes gone at the Amex, Forest are awful, there might actually be a team out there we are better than!

Yay! Go us! We are not the weakest team in the league!

Brighton v Forest or Palace v Wolves. Which should I watch?

They overlap by half an hour, so Brighton first then half hour of palace

Any defence which has a mixture of Aurier and Steve Cook is bound to be awful

didn't see it, I saw him go down later tho. Was it bad?

They didn’t make anything of it, one quick replay, seemed like he went through his ankle without touching the ball

Forest looked okay tonight. Much more resilience than us

I don't think we can rely on them being worse than us. They will surely improve as the season goes on.

Yep. Can’t see a worse team in the league. That would change with new manager, new ideas, making best of unmotivated raw material.

Brighton looked toothless, probably even worse than us. Forest were poor. Forest will be bottom 3 (irrespective of our position) without significant improvement and Brighton will be back to being bottom half unless the new manager finds a way to make them more effective

First half they were shite, if Brighton could finish they’d be a few up. Didn’t bother with the second half

Brighton are similar to us in the sense of they can’t finish opportunities; but differ in the fact that they’re better defensively. 😂

IF we won tomorrow then what a result and what an opportunity.

I won’t be getting ahead of myself though.

Good results tonight, if Saints manage a good win tomorrow, morale will be much improved.

If is doing a lot of work there.

If is doing so much work there, it should be signed as a free agent and put into midfield. 🙂

2 clean sheets and actually have a togetherness and desire that I don't see in Saints will help them in a battle

Forest have a better team than us, better manager than us and will finish above us, unless we fucking well do something

And yet are still below us. They have been utterly dreadful every time I've seen them this season. Last night it took them until just before the hour mark to have their first touch in the Brighton penalty area.

Baffles me how Spurs are so high up the league. Always look shite and negative when I watch them. How they all love Conte is beyond me - fucker likes dour football clearly

Some part time Spurs fan at work earlier was banging on about how he's the manager to take them to the next level and maybe win the league. All very strange.

Newcastle with another result. (only 1 loss this season).

Considering the money they spent/spend, Newcastle is now part of the newly christened mythical "Top 7"

1 Arsenal

2 City

3 Spurs

4 Chelsea

5 United

6 Newcastle

7 Liverpool

I think that’s a wildly optimistic take on it from a Forest perspective. They may have two clean sheets but they’ve drawn a blank themselves in six games and conceded three or more against four teams, including Bournemouth, Leicester and Fulham. Aside from trips to Spurs and Man City, all our games have been tight and could have gone either way. Since swapping to a back four Everton are the only other team to score twice against us.

Put it this way, I doubt any fans of the four midland teams are thinking, "I’m glad we’re not Southampton," this morning.

The great fallacy is that the game is first and last about winning. It’s nothing of the kind. The game is about glory. It is about doing things in style, with a flourish, about going out and beating the other lot, not waiting for them to die of boredom.”

Danny Blanchflower

No wonder they don’t sing “Glory glory Tottenham Hotspur” any more.

Front three or Kane, Son and Richarlison is as good as any in the league though, will win them plenty of games

Talk by about out of sight out of mind

I’d forgotten Bednarek even existed until I’ve just seen him lumbering about for Villa

Posted

I reckon we lost to Villa because we couldn’t face Bednarek. How he manages to jump out of the way of every shot is a skill in itself, would never have made a block like Lyanco’s last night.
