I know he is young, but has Bellingham ever played well for England, noting the hype?

He has now. You’re good at this 😀

Is this what happens when you look to attack?

Exactly right. The moment we finally decided to start running with the ball and making forward passes we tore Germany apart. Southgate needs to realise this and hopefully Ralph is watching too. Shame Pope couldn't hold a simple shot and Maguire is such a complete donkey who gave away two goals.

Some twat on BBC commentary: "ABK has only played 6 games for Southampton but is already being linked with Liverpool". Wouldn't say by whom though.

He did say. It was a source. Nobody names sources, otherwise they lose sources.

I know we have a lot of buy backs on our recently recruited players, but I'm assuming there isn't one with ABK? Does this mean we could see VVD-esque levels of transfer fees if he becomes good enough?

Southgate said the players would have learned a lot tonight. He is too dumb to realise that he's the one who should have learned a lot not least the fact that we are much better when we get on the front foot, players are willing to take a few risks and prepared to take on opponents and get the ball forward quickly rather than all the slow sideways and backwards negative passing. I can only imagine training sessions consist of just trying to keep the ball and taking no risks which is then taken into matches with the obvious sterile results. Wake up man, you've been in the job long enough yet you appear shocked when something fairly obvious produces an instant transformation.

You expect someone to name their source? Jeez.

just goes to show you know fuck all about football.

You realise he has been one of Newcastle's form players so far this season including a player of the month nomination 😅

So who was recommending Pope as a goalkeeper this summer? Lol

Loads on here were, just goes to show you know fuck all about football.

It takes a rare, insightful and incredibly knowledgeable football mind to identify that Pope made an error last night. Most casual fans wouldn't have seen it but you really know what you're talking about.

You're a professional coach or something right, you must be.

Comical how so many grasp their ‘told you so’ to back up opinion as to whether player is good or bad - ignoring any performance that counter their point of view.

See VVD made mistake the other day. When everyone was saying he was brilliant I said it was good to offload him and we robbed Liverpool.

It's frustating to watch, but I think Southgate is a pretty good tournament manager. No goals conceded from open play in the Euros, which is less than can be said about Ralph.

I'm willing to go into the WC with an open mind.

Indeed. They're almost as comical as the 'glad I was proven wrong' brigade.

It's a scatter-gun approach. Used by many, such as The Sun, state the bleeding obvious and when one rumoured transfer happens claim that "you heard it here first".

They don't have a source. It's a waste of breath. Or, in your case, time and effort.

Exactly, which is why the co-commentator asked pointedly in the first place. Because it's a load of bollocks.

*although they may have been trying to make a sauce pun which went over my head at the time.

I was one of them and still think he's comfortably better than any goalkeeper we have at the club and his stats back it up with him saving 83% of the shots he's faced this season, nearly half the shots Bazunu has faced have found the back of the net.

I think Bazunu is a promising young goalkeeper but wonder whether he has been thrown in at the deep end too soon. He let in 2 more goals against Armenia last night, which means he hasn't kept a single clean sheet for half a year for Saints, Pompey or Ireland. Let's hope he gets his first on Saturday to restore his confidence.

He puts baby oil on his arms so that opponents can't pull him back so easily.

Not sure it matters. He’s been largely ineffective for a while now and tends to have no end product. 😅

As well as the shitshow at St Mary’s this afternoon:

- It’s nice to see Pompey lose to “title rivals”

- Arsenal look excellent

- Are Wolves really considering sacking Lage? Makes you question how Ralph is still in a job.

- Trent Alexander-Arnold once again piss poor defensively for Liverpool, at fault for a couple of goals. Brighton constantly targeted Liverpool’s right side time and time again, MOTD not mentioning the player targeted 😂
