Au contraire - I have IPTV with hundreds of stations. Some you can see everything!

A friend just phoned me asking how you get IPTV?

Failing that, anyone got any walls need painting? Got to be more exciting watching them dry.

Got to laugh.  Many people endorse the general squad picked, as these players "don't let England down".

How is that working out?

Southgate is rooted to around 8 of this starting 11, no matter what.

The World Cup is going to be so depressing. Especially being freezing cold and in the dark

Meh, no worse than playing league football at that time of year.

Here comes Gabbi to seal the deal.

Are we the most boring national team to watch? This is so turgid I think I might start catch up on Celeb Master Chef instead

I’d stick Greg Wallace up front. Torode in the hole

I can't believe what the co commentator has just said while defending Southgate's ineptitude. "He's got players who aren't playing for their clubs". Well FFS if that is the case, chose other players who are playing for their clubs.

Southgate has to go. Hes run out of ideas. No other England manager survives this kind of run.

He is here for next 5 years. Good at anti racist stuff

I have been saying Southgate should be sacekd since croatia in the world cup... i have never wavered and taken plenty of abuse for it.

If anyone is still backing him now there are no words....

The FA should have thrown a pile of money at Pochettino in July.

I can’t think of many other available managers that would have got more out of this squad.

Instead we’re stuck with boring Southgate and we’re going to waste another generation of talent.

The two teams I follow, Saints and England, are now replicas of each other.

That's two Friday nights in a row I've watched the football and saw the same boring shite, no midfield, isolated striker, and a defence likely to make a mistake.

That world cup was wow words fail me . All the big nations were failing or failed to qualify and the draw as it went on we were sure to get to the final right?. Never going to be a better chance to win i think im my lifetime(62). As for the euros ,again exasperated still further. Since when has Sako played as or been asked to play LEFT WING BACK?. Someones going to do a touch map of where our attacking players actually averaged out that game and compare it with their club positions. Southgate shoes in 8 defensive players into the team without the thought of winning ,just dont loose . Pathetic isn't it , he (southgate )sucks the expectation of winning a tournament right out of the nation, he has  have coached the creativity out of the team ,even in such a crap tournament that no one cares too much for , only to dampen the expectations of the die hard England fans yet again .Can we recover ? no idea and nor have the players or the management .

Totally agree, and it not as if we havent got the depth of talent scrimping around either.

Nice to see the old Hasenhuttl Irreplaceabilty Clause being activated for Southgate as well.

They should have been doing it now. 3months to take that squad into a world cup, then he can run off back to domestic football if he wants.

Southgate may be shit, but the FA are just as inept. They've kept him for far too long and will now waste the next tournament. The buck for this doesn't stop at Southgate, it should stop with the dithering idiots above him.

There is literally no point going to this world cup or even getting excited for it. We are more likely to go out in the group stage than reach the quarters. Absolute joke. Another generation of wasted talent and psychological negativity that was very clearly very avoidable.

Exactly. "Nobody better to replace him" is such a weak excuse for not to get rid of him. This is one of the most talented bunch of England players in years and we look pathetic, defensive, lop-sided, have a lack of creative ideas and, importantly, we only made 2 subs all night despite the dross that was on show. I don't care who replaces Southgate, I'd even take a foreign manager again, but we're currently going into a World Cup in awful form with little idea and have been relegated from the Nations League, meaning our seeding will be affected and we'll play 'friendlies' against lesser nations. Granted I've never been sure about Southgate, and he has done well in tournaments for us which has surprised and delighted me (although some of that I think was due to the quality of player he has at his disposal), but he seems hell bent on trying to slot as many right backs into the team as possible, he plays Maguire who has barely had a kick for his club over Tomori etc and he plays defensively when our strength is clearly our attack. For form alone, I'd be looking to replace him.

The question is, before or after the WC? Well it's too late now before the WC so let it slide for now and just hope for the best, but unless we hit another quarter-final or better, I think he's out early next year. Although knowing Southgate, we'll hit the WC and suddenly do really well and he sticks around for another couple of years.

Poch would work if he had the players on the training ground for a prolonged period, to get them well drilled on his style of play. Seeing them once in a blue moon would be a struggle for him

Eh? I’m talking about Poch not Southgate.

It’s hypothetical as it’s not going to happen now it’s too late.

So now we will be playing against sides made up of Postmen, Milkmen, and Bank Clerks, who we will smash off the park. Whoever has the TV rights will be throwing themselves round the room burning through pallets of Kleenex as Harold Kane gets the England top scorer Badge playing San Marino, Andorra, and Faroe Islands

I saw bits of the game - as wisely Strictly Launch Show got priority on the remote - just watched the highlights to fill in some of the gaps. As a World Cup preparation England players will be enjoying the novelty of Christmas shopping and opening the advent calendar with their kids in December.
Goodness knows what Southgate was watching listening to his comments.

Last time I enjoyed watching England was Italia 1990

Come on, they were really good for about 20 minutes of the second half of that game against the Dutch at Euro 96.

Not sure you quite understand what Group B actually is. You've heard of Sweden, right?
