Hope it finishes something like this. Everton Wolves Brentford West Ham Aston Villa Southampton Nottingham Forest Leicester Bournemouth You can easily perm any 3 from that lot. Going to be a difficult season, that's for sure. Calm down. Fulham can easily go on a terrible run soon enough, like a billion promoted clubs before them. Brighton will not carry on as they are. In contrast WHU will very likely turn things around. The only thing that is certain is we are without doubt a bottom 6 team. What I worry about is we are as capable of finishing bottom as we are 15th. 2
OttawaSaint Posted 18 September, 2022 Posted 18 September, 2022 Ralph has to go, his stupid tactics have a decent team looking so slow, ponderous and bereft of ideas in the attacking third. We look terrible. If he stays we'll be adrift at the bottom by the WC IMO.

We probably have a few months of him quoting 10/10 transfer windows. The war in Ukraine is hitting him hard too. Edited 18 September, 2022 by whelk 1 1
FarehamSaintJames Posted 18 September, 2022 Posted 18 September, 2022 Cody Gakpo scoring and getting three assists today for PSV. 😢
The Cat Posted 18 September, 2022 Posted 18 September, 2022 (edited) Juventus losing to Monza has to be the result of the weekend. Monza, in case people don't know, is the team Silvio Berlusconi's bought a few years ago and got promoted last season. Before today they'd taken 1 point from their first 6 games. OttawaSaint Posted 18 September, 2022 Posted 18 September, 2022 It's almost nailed on to be 1-0 to Everton at this point. We barely get anything resembling a scoring chance and they'll bobble one in off of DCLs arse and win. We'll throw the kitchen sink at them in the last 2 minutes (not really, just a lot of sideways and back until JWP floats one safely into the goalkeeper's arms). Final whistle. Then they'll roll out Adams or someone else to say, "we have to be better with the ball" or something equally useless... Rince...repeat... 1
East Kent Saint Posted 19 September, 2022 Posted 19 September, 2022 Angers won 0-1 at the W/E I thought Boufal had scored but he got a 2nd yellow at the end of the match 😄 , the match was highlighted as a Nice player was sent off in the first minute .

Holmes_and_Watson Posted 20 September, 2022 Posted 20 September, 2022 Bestest club ever's under 21s graciously allow Rochdale a victory. Ex-Saint interest. "Reds defender Oludare Olufunwa was then shown a second yellow for a foul in the penalty area, but Ian Henderson saw his penalty saved."

It's worse than regression at times, it's retrogression. Look at the Villa match. No press. No creation. No identity. No threat. Nothing. At the start of his tenure we at least had the press. We're worse than ever at times. 1

Trouble is, if Edozie is bunged straight in week after week and he gets injured/burns-out, plenty will jump on him and say why didn't he learn with overplaying Tino. And tbf, Lavia only started a handful of games before injury. With 5 subs available he's a great option off the bench right now (as long as he's used) but Ely does need replacing. 3
alehouseboys Posted 22 September, 2022 Posted 22 September, 2022 Coming up on ITV4+1 shortly (18:55) Match Time Revisited, Liverpool v Southampton - if you look closely you'll see me (and a few others) bouncing up and down as Stevie Moran slots home the winner

Yes he's young but all the players bar Aribo we signed in the summer were young... if they're old enough they're good enough. Protect them sure, but if the more senior players aren't doing much right now, I say, chuck them in. 1
