The totaly bemused look on his face said all we need to know about what he thought of the idea. Even with the best marketing in the world, I can't imagine any game the average fan would be less interested in. And that's in a year when we have a #WankyWorldCup in Qatar.

The season end game: the World-Series of England-Super-Soccerdome-Bowl, held on July 4th, will be a beautiful 3-hour spectacular, spread over 4 scintillating, advert-supported quarters. And the winners rings a treasured item. We should welcome these changes. They will bring our ancient sport fully into the modern world. We will quickly get used to the midnight kick off times, knowing how they benefit the global audience and sponsors. The 14 referees overseeing the game will completely eliminate mistakes and the sillliness of VAR. LET'S DO IT!!!!! (And Pompey being in the minor leagues will be fucking hilarious) Edited 14 September, 2022 by Suhari 1
FarehamSaintJames Posted 14 September, 2022 Posted 14 September, 2022 (edited) It’s always nice to see teams hit the ground running in the EFL, normally because it gets to mid-January and they burn out. 😂 As for Boehly or whatever his name is, I think he needs to learn a little about the English game and “football” (not soccer) as a whole before coming up with anymore bizarre ideas. I can’t wait to hear him suggest we should play a nice even 40 games a season. Or penalty shoot-outs should replace draws. Or players have to wear helmets… Edited 14 September, 2022 by FarehamSaintJames
whelk Posted 14 September, 2022 Posted 14 September, 2022 Someone needs to show Boehly the protests over the super league proposal. Seen getting absolutely slaughtered on Twitter by nearly very journo i for one woudl happily pay $30 for a Bud Light, and $20 for a hotdog to listen to Alicia Keys sing some anthem as the best of the north take on the best of the south. Football at its peak. Hey we could even sell some new shirts
FarehamSaintJames Posted 14 September, 2022 Posted 14 September, 2022 Didn’t take long. Grealish rolling around after being brushed on the foot. Excellent pass back to the defender in the process. Can see why he’s worth £100m 🤣
whelk Posted 14 September, 2022 Posted 14 September, 2022 Celtic are the biggest cunts of them all. 1 1

JRM Posted 14 September, 2022 Posted 14 September, 2022 Ibrox, good display, Rangers look out of their depth without Joe Aribo though. Surely no one expected any different from Celtic. I've been to a couple of their games and heard the songs they had about the Queen. 2
cloggy saint Posted 14 September, 2022 Posted 14 September, 2022 I know there's a long way to go, but are we really going to see Norwich stinking out the PL yet again??

Yes, they go up every odd numbered year, and down in an even numbered one. And Fulham do it the other way around.

OttawaSaint Posted 17 September, 2022 Posted 17 September, 2022 Look at that. Bournemouth move the ball quickly and incisively and score a lovely goal. Saints would have worked it all the way back to Bazunu. 1

stknowle Posted 17 September, 2022 Posted 17 September, 2022 Foxestalk is great entertainment this season esp during matches. 1
HarvSFC Posted 17 September, 2022 Posted 17 September, 2022 Well, they definitely should’ve replaced Schmeichel. 1
Lord Duckhunter Posted 17 September, 2022 Posted 17 September, 2022 They took deadwood off our hands last season, perhaps Leicester will replace Rodgers with Ralph 🙏

Exeter Saint Posted 18 September, 2022 Posted 18 September, 2022 Harry Reed is a good FF differential player this week. Maybe we should have kept him at Saints.

Better snap him up quickly before Leicester get him back, then. It's occurred to me that with Koeman waiting to start the NL job after the world cup, not a single one of our former managers from the last decade is currently in work as a manager.

macca155 Posted 18 September, 2022 Posted 18 September, 2022 Didn't take long for this year's basket case clubs to find themselves in a little league of their own. Hope it finishes something like this. Everton Wolves Brentford West Ham Aston Villa Southampton Nottingham Forest Leicester Bournemouth You can easily perm any 3 from that lot. Going to be a difficult season, that's for sure. 1

The table will look completely different in a few months, there’s no way Brighton and Fulham will finish in the top 6. 1
