Ah, so that's what Klopp must have been referring to when I caught the end of an after match press conference  whilst channel hopping last night. The totaly bemused look on his face said all we need to know about what he thought of the idea.

Even with the best marketing in the world, I can't imagine any game the average fan would be less interested in. And that's in a year when we have a #WankyWorldCup in Qatar.

I for one am completely thrilled about the prospect of watching us deliver a winningmost season and pushing for the southen-prem playoffs, with a team of MVPs and JWP leading our special-teams roster.

The season end game: the World-Series of England-Super-Soccerdome-Bowl, held on July 4th, will be a beautiful 3-hour spectacular, spread over 4 scintillating, advert-supported quarters. And the winners rings a treasured item.

We should welcome these changes. They will bring our ancient sport fully into the modern world. We will quickly get used to the midnight kick off times, knowing how they benefit the global audience and sponsors. The 14 referees overseeing the game will completely eliminate mistakes and the sillliness of VAR.

LET'S DO IT!!!!!

(And Pompey being in the minor leagues will be fucking hilarious)

It’s always nice to see teams hit the ground running in the EFL, normally because it gets to mid-January and they burn out. 😂

As for Boehly or whatever his name is, I think he needs to learn a little about the English game and “football” (not soccer) as a whole before coming up with anymore bizarre ideas.

I can’t wait to hear him suggest we should play a nice even 40 games a season.
Or penalty shoot-outs should replace draws.
Or players have to wear helmets…

Someone needs to show Boehly the protests over the super league proposal. Seen getting absolutely slaughtered on Twitter by nearly very journo

i for one woudl happily pay $30 for a Bud Light, and $20 for a hotdog to listen to Alicia Keys sing some anthem as the best of the north take on the best of the south. Football at its peak. Hey we could even sell some new shirts

Ibrox, good display, Rangers look out of their depth without Joe Aribo though.

Surely no one expected any different from Celtic. I've been to a couple of their games and heard the songs they had about the Queen.

Incredibly, or perhaps not so incredibly knowing what craven, joyless, Brit-haters they are, UEFA banned it and are looking at fining Rangers FC for putting that display on.

Some people reckon we had a “tough” set of fixtures, they’ve played Liverpool, City, Arsenal & Newcastle as well as sharing wolves & Villa with us.

So Newcastle (10th) and Liverpool (8th) are tough fixtures compared to Man Utd (5th) and Chelsea (7th)?

Just seen a couple of posters reassessing their Puel period on there so things must be bad.

Better snap him up quickly before Leicester get him back, then.

It's occurred to me that with Koeman waiting to start the NL job after the world cup, not a single one of our former managers from the last decade is currently in work as a manager.

Our midfield wont live with strength of Everton midfield

They are have a good back for and power in midfield, but they don’t score many.  we won’t score and they will probably Nick a winner. Predicting another dour 1-0 defeat

That is a the terrible Everton - with the loser Frank Lampard in charge - now above us

If you look at Everton man for man you'd have to say they have a stronger first XI than us? They definitely look like they'll be hard to beat this season , got a very steady back 4 and centre mid.

How? we finished above them last season and had a 10/10 transfer window?

Didn't take long for this year's basket case clubs to find themselves in a little league of their own.

Hope it finishes something like this.

Everton

Wolves

Brentford

West Ham

Aston Villa

Southampton

Nottingham Forest

Leicester

Bournemouth

You can easily perm any 3 from that lot.

Going to be a difficult season, that's for sure.

Why would you hope we finish below all of those teams, in 17th? It’s early days and all still to play for. The table will look completely different in a few months, there’s no way Brighton and Fulham will finish in the top 6.

Out of that lot West Ham and Everton will finish comfortably above us. Not sure how Brentford qualify as a basket case club. Also if we are talking hope, wtf would you have us just above the bottom 3 and not top of the basket case league!?
