Said it before and say it again, he looks good going forward against the weaker teams and the pundits lap it up, against the better teams he gets shown up time and again, 2 of Napolis 3 goals so far have come down the right.

And the rest since he became a regular. Awful awful player. Finally the ‘expert’ pundits are seeing it…

As soon as their is a sniff Of Southgate not having him, there will be the usual national campaign to get him included. This kind of happened before the Euros, but he got injured anyway.

Fairplay to Southgate, he seems to not be too keen on him so far!

Yeah was relieved when he got ruled out, as it would have been a huge waste of space. Tripps is a better defender and arguably his delivery and free kicks are as good, Reece James can also do all of the above.

but yes, the TAA bandwagon will no doubt start up soon 😬

If the two games are called off then they may have a new manager appointed before he ever gets a chance to be caretaker.

Just as well, his wrist would probably snap from the manager's handshake.

Barca apparently looking at legal options which is hilarious, you put a silly clause in and then don't expect Atletico to work around it.

I used to like Barca in their La Mesia days do so well with lots of academy products but they have become a mess and just seem to be doing everything to cheat the system at the moment

Yeah, Barca have become very dickish in the last few years. They're a mess at boardroom level. Selling off future TV rights to fund their players. Their turnover of squad is quite funny, for all the world beaters they have I still could not tell you who their main strikers are, what their formation is, whi's the captain etc. It's just 25 players piled together and whichever eleven are registered to play on that weekend end up playing. 😂

Love Tad. Such a good player. And the effort he put in to keep us up. Now that's how you leave a hero, not the fee, not the goodbye message, the effort.

A few people could learn from this. Including a few on here, who are warmed by kind words on twitter.

Completely agree. Some of the stuff I used to read on here about him when he played for us... 😱

Seriously watching the Ajax game and watching him captain and being such a key player in a top European side, made me think of in here when he got slatted. I do not think we got the best out of him, but you could see he had talent. He looked a frustrated figure at times.

Spurs being Spursy as always, love to see it.

That minutes silence at Anfield lasted about fifteen seconds and had a few hecklers in there by the sounds of it.

They definitely ended it early and the commentator said not observed  by everyone. Scum club

You obviously misunderstood it. It was some scouse wit … not that it was called for in a minutes silence.

Either that or it wasn’t really Liverpool fans breaking the silence, a group of Chelsea fans had gone up there to do it.

Yep, impeccably observed according to The Mirror on twitter, as long as everyone overlooks the trivial matters of it not lasting a minute and not being silent

Scumbag club, scumbag media who always overlook or excuse their shithousery.

Its an utter minority shouting out, let’s be clear. But it’s still quite a few more than one person, and I’d be very surprised if any other English games are disrupted like this when they next play. Liverpool as a club have done little to dissuade their militant twats to tone it down with their general bellendery in this regard, so it’s no surprise tonight happened no matter how few in number it was that decided they needed to be heard.

He gave up again and then made a last ditch sprint. If he'd run back properly he might have got a challenge in. He's so poor at defending.

They still talk about him like he’s 18. He’s 24 in a few weeks and played nearly 200 games. Ferdinand going on about he’s going to be a legend but a few areas of his game need to improve.  He is and always has been an awful defender.

Yeah he gets a few assists but he’s a defender. He can’t defend. He’s never been able to. But because he plays with superstars and is English is naturally overrated and overhyped by the English media.

Funnily enough while we’re talking about the Scousers; I was watching Harvey Elliot these past few games, again decent but I wouldn’t say he’s anything “standout-ish”. Curtis Jones is another.

If you’re English and surrounded by superstars you’re already worth £50m and the best thing since sliced bread.

He’ll probably still be on it ahead of Prowsy. He shouldn’t be. But no doubt because he’s a Liverpool player he’ll be on it.
Along with all the other fringe, underrated youth that play for the top six but haven’t amassed ninety minutes of Premier League football. 🤦🏻‍♂️😅

Was just thinking the same, lot of hype around how brilliant Harvey Elliott is but never really seen him stand out whenever I’ve seen him play. He’s only 19 in fairness and only played a few games but I don’t see the hype at the moment

Yep, completely clueless. North v South...so a Man City/Man Utd/Liverpool etc mash up against a Spurs/Arsenal etc mash up. You've gotta be a complete idiot to think that fans will stand side by side and watch that. As for the MLB all stars point, it's in a non contact sport...PL clubs ain't going to send their players it for some glorified exhibition. Fecking dinlo.

The all star idea is not exactly new. Up until the 70s a team of players drawn from the English league used to play games against other leagues.

This is going to be the season Pompey finally get promoted isn't it?

I confidently predict a mid season slump seems them drop down to 9th, the greatest fans in the world start the boos, turning on their manager, they rally and manage to make the play offs on the last day of the season, they draw away at Plymouth in the fist leg, followed by leading 1-0 at half time in the second leg, however a 60th minute equaliser brings Plymouth level, the match goes into extra time. Plymouth take the lead in the second minute of extra time then as Pompey push for a leveller Plymouth score a break away goal to make it 1-3 on the night and 2-4 on aggregate. The Plymouth fans invade the pitch and celebrate in front of the Fratton End whilst Pompey are booed off and the mighty 657 are battered by the Guildhall. They tell us we just dont get their passion as they like being in that league anyway.

Very competitive league, they'll make the play-offs but hopefully Ipswich/Sheffield Wednesday/Plymouth/Bolton can put runs together. We all know it'll end in tears if they only make the play-offs, given their lack of bottle amongst players and fanbase.
